Been renting for 12 years. We are a family of 3, ds is 6. Rent is going up and up, the latest increase is just too much to comfortably afford and honestly we are not happy to pay it. Family have said they will give us one third of a deposit and we can move in with them to save for the rest. It will take us 6 months to save and then we can start looking to buy. The only issue is neither set of parents have room for all 3 of us, so me and ds are moving in with parents and my partner with his. 20 minute drive between us. Its going to be hard but this is our one shot at owning a house I guess. Do you think splitting my family up for months is the right thing to do as I'm sat here not knowing if the sacrifice is too much
