AIBU to put out my autumn decorations now?

I think I’ll put out my autumn decorations! Has anyone put there’s out yet (for those of you that do!) I’m late I know but I just didn’t feel autumny until this weekend 🤣

Even though it’s been deleted, I’m glad someone called out the troll. They’re usually miserable people and I think the person calling them out probably hit the nail on the head as to why in this case. 🍰 🍫 🍩. They were right about all that food packaging going to landfill so it’s hypocritical to moan about Autumn decor going to landfill.

I have a day off tomorrow so will be putting up our Autumn things then. It feels chilly here today and starting to look very Autumnal. 🍁 🍂 🐿️ 🌰 🎃

@Greenlawnbrownlawn you do realise that according to the Celtic calendar autumn starts on August 1st…and that is what we teach in Ireland.
pring (Earrach): February, March, April
Begins on February 1st
Summer (Samhradh): May, June, July
Begins on May 1st
Autumn (Fómhar): August, September, October
Begins on August 1st
Winter (Geimhreadh): November, December, January
Begins on November 1st

the meteorological calendar is taught too I think…

We will put our autumn decor up this weekend. We have had most of it for years but I usually buy a couple of extra bits each year and my friend makes me a gorgeous autumn wreath as she very creative. She makes me one for Xmas as well.

You’ve got to pity them. Unhappiness with their weight is probably a big reason why they act like this online. The fact that they can’t see their own over consumerism is both sad and amusing in this case.

Very much in the UK and loving it. I'm almost ready to put out an autumnal quilt that I made nearly 30 years ago and I'm working on another at the moment.

We decorate for Autumn every year with lights, wreaths and lots of things themed with acorns, pine cones and pumpkins. It makes the house feel cosy and cheers us all up as the dark nights start. We have a Halloween party every year so decorate more when that comes around.

Give it another week, let us hold on to the last week hoping it resembles the summer.
I personally don’t bother with autumn decorations but the do like to see houses decorated, so many people are gone sloppy, it’s nice to see a bit of cheer.

I can see that a natural door wreath in Autumnal colours and themes might be nice.

But, the rest of it is not my thing, abd I’ve never seen anything like that around here.

But each to their own. 👍

I have changed my rug for the orange/brown one swapped my throws and cushion covers for my burnt orange ones and I have been using my fairy light over the fireplace.

i prefer the cost feel

Burnt orange cushions sound nice, I love that colour.

As for landfill 'tat' not that either. Mosyly woiden decorations, dried flower/foliage, felted etc that I have either made or bought from crafters, and had for over a decade....

Autumn bedding?? That's something I've never heard of before.

Yes we switch a large rug, cushions and a lampshade over, amongst other things. We've had these items for a decade. I also have different bedding which is warmer, so there are practical reasons too.
