AIBU to think your husband locking you out the house is the last straw and your marriage is over?
YABU: talk it out
YANBU: you can’t come back from that

Context needed.

Well it's likely abuse. Not normal behaviour. What else has happened?

Mylovelygreendress · 13/09/2026 17:33

I assume it was deliberate?

Fidgety31 · 13/09/2026 17:54

Kind of depends why he locked you out ?
eg . Were you running after him with a knife and he was protecting himself ?
or
were you coming home from walking the family dog and he’s decided to leave you outside ?

Crispsandcola · 13/09/2026 17:55

Locking you out of where, when, for how long and why?

Octavia64 · 13/09/2026 17:56

Presumably intentionally?

Error404FucksNotFound · 13/09/2026 17:58

Surely it depends why.
And what the other staws are.

MagicUser1 · 13/09/2026 18:01

I dont get the posters saying that it depends on why. Because if he locked you out because your behaviour was unsafe/crazy- the relationship is over because of your behaviour. If he locked you out because hes a dick, the marriage is over because of that.

Wither way, no, there's no coming back.

MassiveOvaryaction · 13/09/2026 18:17

Went out and locked the doors behind him when you were already out and had forgotten your keys?

Or saw you approaching, locked all doors and windows and stood there thumbing his nose at you as you stood outside in the rain?

BMW58 · 13/09/2026 18:22

Depends Why he did it.

If, for example, you were completely pissed and being aggressive I wouldn't blame him.

Context is needed.
