Bit of an extreme title...
But if for example your child does piano, dance etc and tells you they don't like it anymore and don't want fo do it, do you just let them stop or encourage them to persevere?
My Dd, 8, has been doing piano for just under a year, she liked it at first but before summer started to complain a bit before lessons and say she didn't want to do it. I told her we'd had a long bresk from it over summer and start fresh in September when back at school.
I told her this weekend we have her lesson this week and she said she didn't want to go, doesn't want to do it
The teacher is lovely and I feel bad cancelling her (we pay per lesson)
What would you do?
My mum says let her do as she likes, I do agree, but mum was also someone who didn't push me in any way, I went to zero extra curriculars as she said I 'Never asked to' and looking back, I wish I had. She is also of the view to not push at school or for the future and to let them do whatever makes them happy. I have mixed views about this
