@PerkingFaintly that’s what I worry about too, foreign influence and gang influence via c money. This latest donor has a conviction, as did Posh George and his book ‘How to launder money’. Genuinely scary and Burnham is a knob for backing away from funding caps imho.

They think he’s a libertarian who would let them do what they wanted. They look across the Atlantic and see Trump doing nothing about the data centres everyone hates because he’s been bought by Musk/Zuckerberg/Bezos and think they’d like to get themselves a bit of that.

Yes, but you could give that money to the Greens or Lib Dems and they would still have no hope of being in power, Reform are half way there already, this just lets them compete on an even playing field and get proper security etc. You just cannot have a clown show like the Labour party running about unchallenged.

The parallels are obvious and concerning

• Party mostly funded by wealthy industrialists and foreign nationals/residents with an interest in steering British politics in a direction that suits them – Check.
• Nationalist party with multiple financial and personal links to overseas nationalist political groups – Check
• Populist party founded by a wealthy ex-public schoolboy who positions himself as a representative of the working man rather than the privileged elite – Check.
• Party targeting electoral efforts in areas of most deprivation and using the rhetoric of current grievance rather than the promise of future improvement to foster anger and develop support – Check.
• Targeted messaging at a base of working class people (majority male) for whom the economic promise of the period 10-15 years ago has disappeared under the weight of inflation and an economic downturn – Check.
• Identification of minority group within society, and messaging to persuade their core demographic that they have ‘less’ because these groups have taken ‘more’. - Check
• Party policy to disenfranchise or deport members of aforementioned groups. – Check
• Membership who are not above physically assaulting hecklers at rallies, and leadership who minimize those incidents - Check
• Leaders who whip-up tension between their supporters and other groups in society, then walk away whistling while a fight breaks out, and later claim that it was a bunch of extremist lefties who started it all. – Check

Labour has a much wider donor base. Not just two expats who've just come back.

Obviously these billionaires are the same lovely chaps who post multiple "how to become rich like me" videos on SM, so they are really just one of the lads, right? I mean they must be stand-up honourable blokes to have that much money and put it online into digicoin so that they can keep it away from the banks and HMRC. Straight into the pocket of the poor bloke who was given 5mil and clearly needs it, right? It must be one of the key points on the manifesto social media videos about how to earn your money and keep it away from the tax man. Or something. All of these people would rather no one had free healthcare or any education, public transport or road network at all.

Not really, the stupidity of the idea that the super wealthy need Nigel to help them avoid tax is nearly beyond description, and privatisation/de-regulation has been going on since the 80"s so another own goal there, do the people using these memes to try and criticise Reform actually not realise how ridiculous they sound?
