AIBU to question why crypto investors are heavily funding Reform?

To wonder why cryptocurrency investors are donating so much money to Reform. This follows the announcement of a £36m donation from another cryptocurrency billionaire (a record donation for a UK political party). It means that by far the majority of their funding comes from crypto investors.

Presumably I can. But the point remains. A special interest group buys influence over government policy. And in the case of Labour this has already happened regularly. With Reform of course its just what you think might happen but hasn't.

You’d be better off on the house price crash forum. They’ve been spouting this stuff for decades. Prices go up and prices go down. Those of us who bought cheaply after the ‘08 crash benefited from 15 years of historically low interest rates and massive price increases. Even if the market collapsed we will still have made a decent profit. Others will lose out. That’s the property market for you.

Every move they make is another few hundred votes for Reform, people have not forgotten the sickening scramble to overthrow the Brexit vote, one of the most disgusting episodes in UK politics IMO.

I am genuinely interested because I don"t think anyone on any of the threads has a coherent answer, and could it be any worse than what bankers and elites are already doing? The biggest con ever perpetrated on the UK public has already happened, it was called the Housing Bubble and it was specifically designed so that bankers could live in the style they deserve, what are these crapto guys going to pull that could be worse than that con and all the offshore money etc. that is happening right now, and why were some people happy to be ruled by unelected figures in the EU but don"t want some tech Bro to support his chosen party?

The current legislation that has been in process doesn’t cover the two latest donations, they’re residents in the U.K.

"In process", not a sudden national emergency just because it benefits Farage, they were probably giving themselves time to delete evidence of their own dodgy money.
