To say all pro-Palestinians should watch Fauda on Netflix?

Now it is a drama about how the Israeli security services deal with the conflict but it is apparently pretty accurate and is amazingly well produced and acted.

Season 5, which covers Oct 7th has just come out after a long delay.

I've had to take a break after episode 7 because it's so distressing but it still doesn't even come close to what happened that day.

I think it's gives a clearer idea as to the truth of what has been going on and it does try to give a perspective from both sides.

I think every pro-Palestinian should watch it.

oh wait, you were celebrating in the streets.

You are making so many wild and false accusations on this thread.

There were literally people celebrating October 7th in London one day later. You deny that happened now too?

remind us how many sanctions were placed on Hamas after that day.

Hamas is designated a terrorist organisation the UK.

We don’t trade with Hamas.

I hope that helps you understand why we haven’t put sanctions against Hamas.

All the more reason for Israel to allow OCHA to send in independent investigators to verify the death toll.

As for the figures, no natural deaths are not included in the death toll attributed to the war. Nor are deaths from internal violence like looting, crime, and gangs.

No one has asked or expected them to report on deaths other than those attributed to the war. So the figures do not include them. Israel did not report on natural deaths on Oct 7th either. The death toll from the West Bank similarly excludes natural deaths. This is standard practice worldwide in all conflicts.

The only barrier to investigation and validation of the death toll during a ceasefire that has lasted almost a year is Israel’s current government blocking access.

On the several hundred deaths from malnutrition due to lack of food aid for civilians with special dietary needs, we will have to disagree. I personally don’t think those qualify as natural deaths because if the war had not happened, these deaths would not have happened.

On the contrary. One girl had a genetic condition which prevented her from absorbing nutrients from food. Treatment and special diet failed to improve her condition. War or no war, she'd still have had malnutrition due to her condition.

Where has Hamas reported the 'natural' or non war related deaths since 2023?

There were approx 5,000-6,000 deaths every year from old age, illness, accidents etc which is actually very low for a population of 2 million, a percentage of 0.3%.

As far as I'm aware Hamas has not published a separate number for these deaths since the war, so 15,000 -18,000 deaths in the death toll are not related to the war.

There are also likely many thousands of deaths from Hamas executions of suspected 'collaborators' and tribal wars, as well as deaths from misfired rockets, IEDS and land mines which will account for many of the amputation injuries as well.

Hamas is never going to admit that, because why on earth would they, so we'll never know the true figure.

The videos of terrorists firing rockets from the INSIDE tents in camps and planting booby traps in residential areas and homes (which people would have returned to) are beyond parody of the way Hamas operates.

Can I ask you, if I happen to be of one of the races or ethnicity Jalapenos doesn’t respect, is it still unreasonable if I don’t want her to explain to me how I should respect her ethnicity? I’m fascinated that anyone would think this unreasonable.

You haven’t answered this question. It’s key really to this conversation. I’d be interested to hear your answer. I mean, I know you can’t answer it. If you say no, you’re admitting I’m right to reject Jalapenos offers to lecture me about antisemitism. If you say yes, you’re admitting you think it’s okay for someone who doesn’t respect the race or ethnicity of the person they are speaking to to lecture them on antisemitism, which is clearly a nonsense. Anyway, you might want to have a go.

I think she made it pretty clear: she not talking out respect. She's talking about not inciting violence.

I thought they made it pretty clear they were talking about respect, the way they repeated it several times and made quite explicit that they don’t respect all races and ethnicities. Did you miss that?

But I tell you what: next time a Jewish person is beaten up or attacked by one of your lot, go up to them and tell them how much you "respect" them. Then chant "From the River to the Sea".
See how that goes down.

Who are “my lot”? Who of “my lot” beats people up, Jewish or otherwise? No-one I know. Why would I chant “From the River to The Sea” if saw someone attacked? I’ve never even said it, never mind chanted it. What a strange thing to say.

It is a very, very odd position to try to defend that a person from group A can say that they don’t respect groups B, C and D but then berate a person from unknown group (possibly B, C or D) and express outrage that that person is not respecting group A. Don’t you think?

And just to be clear, as I know you like to twist things, person D in this scenario (ie me) respects groups A, B, C and D.

You do know that the basis of antiracism is that it applies to all races and ethnicities? Otherwise it’s not antiracism.

Every single one of the attacks on Jews in the UK in the last two years have been by Pro-Palestians.

Saying "I've never seen it" doesn't absolve your side. Its just willful ignorance.

Wanted the Israeli government to stop its genocide of the Palestinians does not equal wanting the genocide or ethnic cleansing of Jews.

So you don’t want them all driven out of Gaza then?

So do you want all Israelis driven out then? You certainly support the "Jew hunts" directed at them in various places.

How do you "restrict" a government? "Restrictions" always impact the ordinary people, not the government.

Palestinian tourists aren't banned from certain countries. Nobody goes on "Palestinian hunts", Palestinians aren't assaulted for speaking Arabic abroad or wearing a Kaffiyeh. Yet all the above happens to Israelis - and not government officials to spare me the whole "its only the government I have a problem with".

And nobody actually thinks any of that about Palestinians: we mostly just want Palestinians to stop murdering people and weaponising their own kids.

So you don’t want them all driven out of Gaza then?

This is the same UK which has its Consulate Building in East Jerusalem- deemed "occupied land". Which means the British have a nice building paid for by the Israeli government in land they're sanctioning the Israelis for living on. Hypocrites as ever.

There you go again…DETERMINED to see antisemitism.

NO.

Neither of those things.

Israel, currently, has a rogue government. It is extreme. And it is committing heinous crimes, almost daily.

Nothing to do with Jews or Jewishness.

So you're telling me that calling all Israelis evil and holding them collectively responsible for the actions of thier government is entirely unrelated to the fact 72% of them are Jewish?

Cos I smell bs. Nobody treats say Chinese citizens the way they treat Israelis, yet the CCP is actually commiting a genocide. A real one.

So if your definition of a "Western" country is elections is that why Palestinians are allowed to get away with war crimes.

Seriously, we all know there's a double standard applied to Israel and we know exactly why it is.

They aren’t allowed to get away with war crimes.

Oct 7th was a terrorist attack.

Israel’s response is genocide/war crimes.

Both are utterly evil.
One is ongoing.

Swiftie1878 · 16/09/2026 22:18

That’s not what I’m saying at all.
Seriously, your determination to see antisemitism does a disservice to Jews. When it’s there it’s real and incredibly dangerous. When it’s not, but keeps being called out as such, it just undermines all antisemitism claims.

Let me guess "don't equate Jews with Israelis" and "Israel is the real cause of all antisemitism" as well?
