To want to send out support to the two women visibly assaulted at a political conference. I am concerned about the other protesters too and actually anyone who was hurt. But having to listen to jeering from the podium plus the crowd chanting in live TV at the same time must have been so traumatic and the publicity will die down and coverage move on but that can't be easy. Just want to send love and support.

The bit that horrified me was when he put his hand over her face and gripped it. If he had pulled backwards he could have broken her neck.
The security staff were throwing the women out. These moronic thugs, and the people cheering them on have no justification at all.

It's a wholly different context, John Prescott had an egg smashed in his face. What did this woman do? Equally, there is no way JP would have attacked a woman, I'm not suggesting it's correct to punch someone but it is a really flimsy comparison. "Where's the 5 million?" is a legitimate question that Farage needs to be asked every single day in every interaction.

And Jenrick is idiotic to the point I wonder how he gets through the day. "Cries foul if a pensioner knocks her over the head with his zimmer frame..." he admits he's seen that she's hit over the head with a stick and still waves it away. Old white men can abuse women and the women will be laughed at for mentioning it, and blamed for being there.

I really hope she contacts the police, but this is a problem in general with male violence against women. Even with video evidence it's up to her to pursue it. The police need to be finding out who the perpetrators were anyway. Hopefully they are.

I really do. I wonder how he gets through the day. But more than that I wonder how individuals have given themselves permission to blank out assault. Farage was alarmed and rightly so about having a milkshake thrown on him- a milkshake doesn't hurt- it's the psychological impact of the invasive act- of not knowing what's coming next, of the intention of the assailant, of a loss of control, you must momentarily fear for your life.
So- it's not like he doesn't know.
