AIBU to want to express support for women who were assaulted at a political conference?

The Andi Peters thread i commented on got to 40 pages, id say people had quite a lot to say about it.....
Its possible for both things to be true- it was outrageous, unreasonable and unacceptable the way MM spoke to Andi Peters on live TV (it would be just as bad in private)
Its also outrageous, unreasonable and unacceptable for people to commit (and also condone) violence at a party conference

In any event, the law does not permit criminal assault on trespassers. You can use only reasonable force to eject them. Hecklers turn up at every party conference, but other parties manage to deal with them without having men hitting women over the head and seizing them by the hair.

It's all part of the hyper-masculine feedback loop; insecurity (feeling threatened that "other" people will take their jobs/homes/women), join a group of similarly frustrated men (low IQ, low status banding together as group is stronger, dress in black to intimidate), RAGE at everything or anyone who gets in their way with very little need to discuss why or look at facts - on a hare trigger for violence and always shout the loudest/smash stuff/argue the toss with everyone you come in contact with - eventually get arrested and a permanent record.

Then after all that they wonder why they can't get jobs or a woman and the cycle starts again.

I suppose it demonstrates that these must be real Reform supporters. I can’t imagine even Russian bots would think any of these lines of defence is going to tempt swing voters.

Glad I’ve been able to educate you about the difference between people not contributing to a thread (maybe they didn’t see it, maybe they aren’t interested in celebrities, maybe the title didn’t grab their attention) and spending time on a thread repeatedly making excuses for assault. I think the violence at this event plus all the dodgy finances are giving all the swing voters and undecided voters all the info they need and hopefully another nail in the coffin for Reform Party Ltd.

Staunched Reform voters will still minimise and deflect all issues and have double standards about violence.

And Jenrick is idiotic to the point I wonder how he gets through the day. I really hope she contacts the police, but this is a problem in general with male violence against women. Even with video evidence it's up to her to pursue it. The police need to be finding out who the perpetrators were anyway. Hopefully they are.

I'm not a Reform voter, I'm a Tory. I voted Reform at the last GE as a protest vote. I'm not 'justifying' that one any further. The Andi Peters thread is very quiet. I could say that some only care about racism when it's against a certain type of brown person or when the perp isn't right wing. See how it all works.
