Hypertonic Pelvic Floor! Has anyone else dealt with this? No idea if it was the lifting, running or the fact I was going through a very very very stressful time but all the muscles, ligaments in my pelvic floor have tightened causing SO much pain. Also started with numbness. Tried pelvic floor therapy but it’s now too painful to touch the area. I’m taking nerve tablets. My whole Life's come to a stop. PLEASE any experiences with this happening and what happened next I would love to know while I’m still waiting on a gyno appointment. Xx

Yes I am currently dealing with this. At its worse it’s agonising pain, other days it’s a strange uncomfortable sensation. I am seeing a pelvic floor physio who has given me diaphragmatic breathing exercises and yoga stretches which do seem to be helping as I haven’t had the agonising pain for a few weeks now, just discomfort. The worse part is the feeling to urinate has changed - instead of feeling pressure in my bladder I just feel a strange annoying irritation on my urethra.

I sympathise OP, it seems to be taking over my life too and I’m exhausted by it
