Let's spend untold billions of pounds rigging up a net that would somehow stop dinghies but let the hundreds of ferries and merchant ships which use the Channel every day pass freely through without disruption. Why didn't we think of that before??

The thing is, stopping the boats is hard. Nobody wants them. The government would love nothing more than to stop them. But it's really very difficult, and the overstretched military probably have better things to be doing.

Nobody knows how to stop them, least of all these balaclava wearing thugs.

Looks like Tommo has admitted he was paid to set this up, and the funds are linked to some interesting characters.

Anyone who thinks this is about stopping the boats or protecting UK citizens is wrong. Paid for disruption is never about citizens, it’s always about power.

And as a black British woman with mixed race daughters and a son, I would not feel comfortable being in the street, or a train carriage, with silent, balaclava clad men, or knowing my children were. And if you think my comfort matters less than yours, I’d consider you a white supremacist.

Well they built the nightingale hospitals without a single shot being fired as far as I'm aware. Perhaps they would build some electronic warning system in the channel or a huge net across the dividing line. Who knows? Luckily I'm not in charge of thinking of something. The important thing is that the military seems to be wheeled out when the apparatus of civilian government is failing. Which it clearly is. As the military do a proper effective job.

Oh lord, I didn't realise it was those 2 scrotes behind the protest. I thought they were in France, asking for (and being given) money to finance them posing in front of, then stabbing, dinghies.

My friend’s brother has been in prison since before PA were designated as a terrorist organisation. I’m not sure what he did, other than attend a protest. It seems neither are the government as they haven’t brought him to trial as there is nothing a jury can convict him of.

Daniel Thomas has quite the background.

Thomas – who goes by the name Danny Tommo – was handed a two-year sentence in 2016 for an attempted kidnap after targeting the wrong man. He and two others arrived at the victim’s home in Hampshire armed with knives. Portsmouth Crown Court heard how they punched him, pinned him against a wall, grabbed and pulled his T-shirt, trying to force him from his home. But their victim resisted, clinging to the door frame. The bungling perpetrators fled in a car, shouting: “We’ll be back.” However, realising they had got the wrong person, one of the trio later sent the victim a Facebook message apologising.
Meanwhile, Thomas was said to have made inflammatory comments online in the wake of last year’s attack on a children’s dance class in Southport. Hope Not Hate (HNH) says on its website: “Daniel Thomas (AKA Danny Tommo), Tommy Robinson’s associate... shared a video in the hours after the Southport attack claiming that ‘we need to do something very extreme’ and ‘every city needs to go up’. Two days later, Thomas would lead a demonstration at Whitehall at which more than 100 people would be arrested.

It’s all mega divide and rule distraction from the very wealthy extracting wealth and asset stripping out countries ….in old folk homes profits, sewage in every river but 100 of millions of profits extracted to share holders and more. It’s a ‘look over here, be afraid’ distraction. I live by a migrant dispersal centre and see nothing but contribution and participation ..vibrant interesting additions to our society.
