Masked men at Dover - KKK vibes

MumofCandR · Yesterday 11:53

They are utter cowards and hypocritical. The same ilk will state they're against the burkha and protests by environmental groups etc. but are happy to mask their faces in 'protest' the reality is they're just nasty specimens of humanity, full of people with self righteous white supremacy tendencies. AIBU.

So you’re ok with pro pally /antifa thugs shouting abuse/ covering faces but these people who are protesting to stop the criminal treasonous abuse of our borders is thuggish —- hmmm ok then

Exactly. It was peaceful, the police said it was peaceful. They probably hovered their faces, not because they are thugs but possibly normal working people in jobs that might not be impressed with them standing up for British people this way or thay could usevitcagsonst them. Just think if there were police officers, firefighters, nurses, teachers etc people whose jobs might have been at risk if caught on camera. I think there will be more of these to come and sadly not all will be "peaceful". Many in this country have had enough of the government not giving a toss about the number of "fighting age men" entering the country on a daily basis.

hmmdunno · Yesterday 17:00

it’s actually quite frightening that someone can’t raise concern about a hard right uniformed gang impacting national infrastructure without the usual bad faith bleating about “strange unvetted men”. The number of boat crossings is down and there have been none in the last week. And if you want to oppose cultures that don’t respect women, have a look at the number of convictions for DV and assaults among the flag shaggers. Jesus

In nowhere near as many numbers.

Not true either. 2002 was 100k applications.

I mean they've ruffled your feathers haven't they. Why are you so annoyed at people protesting peacefully? Do you prefer a bit of violence for it to be a roar maybe a hammer attack or 2?

It wasn't a peaceful protest. It used psychological violence and disruption. No physical violence, sure, but that doesn't make it peaceful.

These men do not speak for me. I am English, white, have absolutely no desire for small boat arrivals or illegal immigrants, but these men are thugs and they do not speak for me.

Prior to Brexit we were party to the Dublin Regulation which has the "first entry criterion" rule. This led to a surge in small boat crossings. This was has replaced in June this year by the AMMR which sells for a fairer distribution of asylum applications within the EU.

There is a clear link to Brexit and the rise in small boat crossings. There may well be a rise in the Right in France and Germany too, but this doesn't "prove" that Brexit hasn't played a huge part in the upsurge in trafficking into the UK.

Have you checked how many people were returned with the DA? We took more than we returned and it was incredibly low.

Nowhere used it to fix migration issues, do you really think people were sent back en masse to Italy, Spain and Greece. Which countries did that?

It’s changed now anyway as clearly it didn’t do what people still say, despite it being misinformation. And now there are new disagreements on the updated pact.

Septembersunrays · Yesterday 16:58

@ClaudettedeBeauvoir well we can't win can we because joining free movement also saw an untenable upsurge in trafficking and crime didn't it !
Beds in sheds and vulnerable men slaves working from shanty caravans an explosion of brothels and all sorts.

When we were in the EU the illegal migrants travelled in by lorry, from recollection.

In nowhere near as many numbers.

Agree it's very worrying will be interesting to see what Burnham says.

"This wouldn't 'appen up in Manchester" 😬

😂

I don't support them, but can see why they are doing it. Not keen on the 'black uniform' but I wonder how it was orchestrated.
Unfortunately years of government doing precisely what they want regardless of the infrastructure not being in place, people, particularly the lower socioeconomic sector feeling disenfranchised is going to create this.
We have a prison crisis, we have enough home grown criminals without importing the 3rd world's ones as well. We have a housing crisis, 1000s of people on waiting lists in every major town, yet accommodation is provided and once processed they join those lists.
We have a health crisis, NHS at breaking point.

We gave a education crisis, Schools are at breaking point, teachers leaving, SEN massively underfunded, kids in disruptive classes.
Yes, we know many sectors would collapse without immigrants but those same immigrants also are needing housing, healthcare, education, its a ponzi scheme.

The country is allegedly unable to afford to fund the infrastructure so common sense says restrict the need for additional infrastructure!
Unless the government get a grip and quickly, social media will provoke people who normally wouldn't pay attention to this type of protest to start to think they need to 'do something' . Conspiracy theories also get traction.

Agree it's very worrying will be interesting to see what Burnham says.

59 per cent want the Navy to be used to stop small boats.

yougov.com/en-gb/daily-results/20250919-86198-2

The daily polls on YouGov are not a proper poll where you get a representative cross section of people to answer them, it's just whoever wants to do the question that day. I would take them all with a pinch of salt.

Absolutely!

I would have been absolutely terrified seeing that lot and not knowing what or who.

Apparently they didn't have any banners or let people know what they were doing ??

Poor people about to go on holiday as well getting that fright and all the other issues with ruining people's holidays and journeys.

I don't know whether it's correct but I did read that they were masked up to avoid surveilance but to also illustrate like with the men coming on boats, we don't know who they are ? Could be wrong.

I without a doubt think we need urgent action on the boats but this for me was a step too far.

Let's hope Burnham gets a grip where others have failed.

"Let's hope Burnham gets a grip where others have failed."

LOL, that is comment of the day for me.

@StandFirm

No - it is completely irrelevant.

I voted against Brexit. I would much rather be in the EU. But that would not stop small boat migrants from getting into dinghy’s, and crossing the channel.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. The progressives hide their faces at marches and now you have the anti-immigration protesters wearing balaclavas. Get on with banning ALL flags and ALL face coverings at protests.

Brexit is not irrelevant. It has made effective cooperation between the UK and EU countries (specifically France) much more difficult. Both UK and French 'aspiring leaders' Farage and Bardella (President of the French equivalent of Reform) are liars when they signed their worthless MOU this week. It was a photo op. An alliance of nationalist governments across Europe is an oxymoron. It will only ever be driven by self-interest and drive more discord across the board- and bring more chaos down the line, to Putin's delight of course.

When we were in the EU the illegal migrants travelled in by lorry, from recollection.
