There's not much that shocks me anymore but this really has, not just the horrible violence and naked hate but those trying to justify it. Fuck off, there's no excuse for physically attacking anyone. Nasty bastards.

I agree - and Reform’s response makes them look weak and incompetent, not at all like a party you could trust to form a strong, stable government.

She was heckling at a party conference. It's behaviour that competent politicians can deal with in their sleep.

If Reform genuinely thought this was a serious problem they would increase security checks at the door, not leave it up to the audience to thwack hecklers with crutches.

@JenniElection also, I've actually read that book. And I have to say, citing Caroline Criado Perez on this particular thread is a choice. CCP wrote about how institutions systems and data fail women by being designed around male defaults. It is genuinely not, and how you got there I have absolutely no idea, an argument that the left caused grooming gangs or that progressive politics is responsible for failing working class white women in the way Reform likes to claim (which I think is the point you were getting at but honestly it is so hard to tell from your nonsence)
So either you haven't read it, or you read it and missed the entire point in a quite breathtaking way, or you've read it and are deliberately misrepresenting it to "win " an argument. I'm genuinely not sure which is worse.
And then to suggest @TemperanceWest should "volunteer at a women's charity", delivered with such magnanimous condescension (oh, sorry "with Kindness" 🙄) on a thread specifically about women being kicked on the floor at a political conference, with supporters of that party responding with everything from shoulder shrugging to what I can only describe as barely concealed delight, is quite something.
You still haven't explained that first sentence. Now there's a whole second post that makes even less sense. At some point you are going to have to either clarify what you meant or accept that there isn't actually a point in there. We're waiting.

Reform UK keeps on joking about violence against women.

It seems that there were male protesters at the conference, too, but for some reason the crowds held their punches when faced with men.

West Midlands Police asked on X yesterday for the assaulted woman to identify herself to them so they can take action. The aggressors are very stupid to do what they did in a brightly lit hall full of people with phones.

Security were dealing with her. There is no legal defence for beating somebody who is just shouting.

I sincerely hope the protestors sue the arses off the men who assaulted them. Heckling at conferences has been around forever, like it or not. And every party has it. At no point is walloping someone with your walking stick acceptable.

The behaviour of these people is sickening. They had no right to assault her even if her shouting was disruptive.

Can you imagine the furore if it was in the reverse and the elderly man was the heckler while young woman pulled him by his hair, hit him with a stick, and grabbed him in his face? Surely everyone would be horrified by an elderly person being treated in this manner. Why do these people think it acceptable for a young woman to be treated like this?

There is abuse of girls of all races, by perpetrators of all races. The fact that you're implying that not being racist equates to supporting the abuse of white girls is just nonsense.
If you think the right really care about women and girls, just look at the conviction rates of many of those in the party, including leadership. And the supporters, who assault women on camera, like in this instance.

No, sorry, but you're excusing what happened to her. She was assaulted for heckling. There is no legal defence to that.

Escorted out by security? Expected. Assaulted by beating? Nope, no excuse.
