To share this fantastic documentary exposing Reform for the crooks and traitors that they really are. Thank you for sharing @ihateboris

I'd recommend watching it to the end.

Just go away and stop pestering me. I'm not answerable to you and don't have to respond to your bullying.
The only people I am answerable to is the Police.

Why exactly are you on this thread? Posters are allowed to ask you questions. You are allowed to quote other posters. It's called an open discussion.

That footage of the protester being removed is pretty shocking. I hope the police investigate - she is clearly assaulted by at least two audience members.

West Midlands Police said that they have seen the footage but they haven't received a complaint. They have appealed to the woman to come forward so that they can investigate.

They also confirmed that there was no involvement from counter terrorism police, or indeed from any police, in the decision to delay Nigel Farage's speech yesterday. So that was also a lie.

I’m glad all the freedom to protest advocates support the protesters at Dover today.

The protest organised by Russian funded far-right activists ? Supporting them (and Reform) is literally treason. Russian-funded party of oligarchs intent on cementing establishment power and wealth and exploiting citizens even more.

There’s a separate thread where you can post on about what’s happening in Dover.

But the fact is, once again you don’t seem to be all that familiar with the customs and laws of our country.

Yes, the UK has a proud history of protecting the freedom to protest (for example the right to heckle a politician at a party conference). But when it comes to large scale public protest, our law are very clear - protestors need to pre-notify the police, and follow agreed routes, and are not allowed to block critical infrastructure.

So, while those who organised the pro-Palestine matches clearly understood and followed the laws of this country, the masked thugs blocking the country’s busiest ferry port clearly do not.

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 05/09/2026 14:26

Florenceeiderduck · 05/09/2026 13:23

No it doesn't. If people want to listen to something in a cinema/show/conference/lecture whatever, it is good manners to keep quiet.
But then I've never known Lefties be famous for good manners so I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

This is an interesting post.

The poster seems eager to support Reform UK, who love to bang on about free speech, and yet she apparently lacks any understanding of what free speech actually is.

It is concerning that our democracy is dependent on people with very limited understanding of basic concepts.

Hit by a walking stick, pulled by her hair and had her face held.

Pretty sure I'm not imagining it. The walking stick does appear to make contact with her right at the start of the video, thought it's so quick you could miss it. Also head pulled back.
There's nothing like a group of people determined to protect women.

And if Farage and his associates had followed due process the party would be bankrupt or was I the only one to pick up the party official at the start saying they couldn't get British donors?

That is what they said. Unfortunately the more allegations against Reform, the more they just write it off as politically motivated / hit job / witch hunt / establishment stitch-up / [insert appropriate buzz word from that week’s Reform press briefing]. Yesterday they’d all discovered the word “entrapment” and were merrily regurgitating that at every opportunity.

Follow due process would have meant Farage filling in and submitting that piece of paper on his £5m donation.

PrincessofWills · 05/09/2026 14:12

Florenceeiderduck · 05/09/2026 09:23

I've already said that I'm waiting for an investigation to conclude.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter what any of us think it's about following due process.

And if Farage and his associates had followed due process the party would be bankrupt or was I the only one to pick up the party official at the start saying they couldn't get British donors?

It is really interesting how averse Reform and its supporters are to being challenged. Even more so given they are supposed to be advocates of free speech. We’ve even seen members (or, strictly speaking, “supporters”) expelled from the party (or, strictly speaking, “company”) for questioning individual policies.

Indeed!

Just goes to show that their liking for "free speech" is very selective, and that their dislike for scrutiny overrides everything.

@olivepicanto ”Reform cultists resorting to type I'm more scared of them than any asylum seekers”

Yeah right.

Are you calling me
a liar. That's happened before with that foxy thing.

I live in a very middle class small city and we have two hotels housing asylum seekers

the scariest thing is the toothless, jobless, illiterate, Neanderthal rangers fans that are using the opportunity to feel important

so "yeah right "

BermudaRhombus · 05/09/2026 13:54

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 05/09/2026 13:32

Asking a perfectly reasonable question is not pestering you or bullying you. I'm merely asking you to clarify your point.

I understand that it might feel like pestering you if I'm asking questions that you aren't capable of answering. And that's OK, you don't have to answer anything if the questions are stressful for you.

But you don't get to tell me to go away. This is a public forum and I am not breaking any of the talk guidelines. I am entitled to ask whatever questions I like. You are entitled to ignore the questions that you don't want to answer. That's how this works.

If you find that this thread is getting a bit overwhelming, then you can step away. If you feel that I've broken talk guidelines, then you can report my posts. But I don't think MNHQ will delete my post for asking a perfectly valid question within the context of a debate.

Unfortunately for you, you don't get to tell me to go away.

It is really interesting how averse Reform and its supporters are to being challenged. Even more so given they are supposed to be advocates of free speech. We’ve even seen members (or, strictly speaking, “supporters”) expelled from the party (or, strictly speaking, “company”) for questioning individual policies.

I’m glad all the freedom to protest advocates support the protesters at Dover today.

Blocking people from accessing ferries isn’t quite the same as heckling a political speech. The right weren’t keen on it when environmental protesters were doing it as I recall.
I’d be ok with it if they weren’t masked, as that suggests a desire to hide identity - which could be for lots of reasons, none of them good within the context of a democracy with free speech - and as long as they didn’t block emergency vehicles.
I don’t agree with their motives or choice of location - wrong boats, wrong place - and I think it’s a bit silly to protest to get a government to do something it’s already doing - boat crossings are down 40%.
However, that’s a distraction from the point of this thread, so let’s get back t9 Farage’s undemocratic behaviour and decide whether anyone who has supported him in the past can bring themselves to say that this even looks bad shall we?

Those masked men have the right to protest, that does not mean supporting them in their protest.

Just like with any protest whether it is JSO or farmers

They were not assaulted by bystanders.

I didn’t say it was ‘good manners’. I said that heckling a politician, or criticising one, is very specifically within the rules of free speech. Sometimes protesting is t polite. That’s sort of the point. It happens when polite discussion isn’t working. If these protesters incited violence against Farage or Reform supporters then that would fall outside the laws protecting free speech. Did they?
