OMG Miriam Margolyes Andi Peters

I've got an annual leave day today and am spending the morning shamelessly on the sofa watching daytime TV with cups of tea and biscuits after an exhausting school summer hols. Kids back at school today. I've given myself permission to vegetate till 3:15pm.
So here I am watching This Morning and have just spent 5 minutes with my jaw wide open and hand over my mouth at what Miriam Margolyes just said to Andi Peters.
Did anyone else see it??
I mean it takes a lot to shock me. I am not easily shocked.
And this woman is currently doing a sell out tour??
Whoah.

It's unbearable, isn't it? There was even a thread on here where the OP referred to the "ENGERLISH". Capitalised, of course. Tiresome

She likes to shock people, which I believe is because she is an attention hog. Not a totally unusual thing with actors. She pushes it far and always has, and likes to contrast being a little old lady with vulgar stories. She's also looking for validation.

I think a lot of her stories are fake. That one about wanking off the public wanker, seems improbable for many reasons.

I wouldn't be totally surprised if she is becoming less good at knowing where the line is, due to age. It's common and can be pretty subtle.

I find her gross and I find I even avoid watching things she is in as an actress.

I had to look this phenomenon up and the reply was quite interesting. I think 2 and particularly 3 certainly applies to MM.

It worries me that more and more, I find myself agreeing with the Telegraph, I'm not remotely right wing, but celebration of brattish, bullying, egocentric behaviour seems so in vogue these days and for some reason only the Telegraph regularly calls it out.

I'm really hoping that we will see more of Andi Peters, who is infinitely more engaging and professional than the usual 'stable' of presenters who seem to be omnipresent and have been for a while.

She has a preconceived simple idea of the world (where Egyptians are just a blob and she can make assumptions not just that Peters is mixed race but that his 'mummy' is white and 'daddy' is black) and she just expects people to slot into it.

For me the only good thing about Margolyes is that she has accidentally reminded me how much nostalgia Andi Peters ignites for me! Just leaving this for any other viewers of a certain age.

I want his skin care routine. I see that being unproblematic and minding his business has done wonders for his skin!
