OMG Miriam Margolyes Andi Peters

I've got an annual leave day today and am spending the morning shamelessly on the sofa watching daytime TV with cups of tea and biscuits after an exhausting school summer hols. Kids back at school today. I've given myself permission to vegetate till 3:15pm.
So here I am watching This Morning and have just spent 5 minutes with my jaw wide open and hand over my mouth at what Miriam Margolyes just said to Andi Peters.
Did anyone else see it??
I mean it takes a lot to shock me. I am not easily shocked.
And this woman is currently doing a sell out tour??
Whoah.

Well that's true and they don't even realised they are not thanked for it. Even worse is when they are actually despised for it. They always know best though.

It isn't the same, unless you want to go back to the immediate post Hastings period, complain about the Harrowing of the North and take issue with Normandy and Duke William, a 1000 years ago.

ETA in my lifetime the sons and daughters of slaves, descendants of those taken by Triangular Trade were still living.

It worries me that more and more, I find myself agreeing with the Telegraph, I'm not remotely right wing, but celebration of brattish, bullying, egocentric behaviour seems so in vogue these days and for some reason only the Telegraph regularly calls it out.

I am exactly the same. I used to be a Guardian reader - for years - but have become very irritated with their editorials and columnists. I'm finding the Telegraph intelligent and informative. I never thought I'd say that!

I know many. I have been very unfortunate. And I am mixed heritage with light skin so I’ve had it done to me, about me, in front of me not realising I am mixed, about others in my family with darker skin and just generally about anyone else not English.
it is rife amongst the posh and the older generation and it’s not because they don’t know any better.
colonialism is entrenched and the language she used yesterday and has done previously shows very clearly that she is not genuinely inclusive in the slightest.
its all performative bollocks .
