Was crossing a road with two teens, nearly halfway across when a car turns left into the road and instead of braking as we are in the road, continues accelerating so we have to step back. I put my hands up in frustration and driver puts window down, and says there's a yellow box on the main road do you want me to get a ticket? I was shocked and replied you would rather run me over than get a ticket? Also saying its my right of way as a pedestrian once im on the road. She ended up driving off saying I should look where I was going. Aibu to assume this driver should have stopped as we were nearly halfway across the road before she turned in therefore not checking properly that her entry was clear and being more concerned about avoiding the yellow box at the expense of knocking over a pedestrian!
