It seems to be every weekend me and my partner have a disagreement. He punishes me and doesn’t see me the whole weekend. Last night I was very drunk and we went to a bar for 1 drink. My boyfriend was messin about with his phone and went into his camera roll and there was so many selfies of him that I’ve never seen or been sent them? I said that’s a bit odd and don’t think men do that? And he was raging and left me home and said he wants the whole weekend to himself when we had plans to go to the cinema tonight.. I don’t have my child all weekend (she’s away to her dads) so I am now sitting in the house alone off work all weekend because he’s now being stubborn and won’t see me. This isn’t the first time this has happened. How could you go the whole weekend without seeing your girlfriend? I usually work at the weekends to and this weekend is my time off :/ I apologised to him about being drunk etc and he started calling me a tragedy and a drunken mess. And he even said why don’t you go down to your mum and dads to feed you drink and ruin your life. Said some really nasty things. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just accept my apology and move on??

@littlepink83 when you do see him; you suggested he crawls his sorry ass around on a Sunday, in answer to your original post
question, “Would you tell your partner to fuck off”. In this situation, yes I honestly would.

What are you going to do?

MNLurker1345 · 29/08/2026 11:41

littlepink83 · 29/08/2026 11:30

Is this sarcastic lol

Yes it is!

Have you seen him yet?

littlepink83 · 29/08/2026 11:30

MNLurker1345 · 29/08/2026 09:27

The selfies could suggest a number of things

  1. He’s vain
  2. He’s insecure about his looks
  3. He is a narcissist
  4. He is sharing them with the hordes of women that he spends his weekends with and that are queuing up to be his girlfriend

What do you think?

Is this sarcastic lol

Nah he was on his phone whilst we where sitting in the bar we where taking photos of us two. Then he went into his camera roll. I did apologise to him. But I’d understand him just wanting space even tonight. But to want space the whole weekend is a bit cuntish

If you think he's a cunt and odd and unmanly, then Im surprised you want to spend the weekend with him.

I couldnt deal with a partner that got drunk and insulted me.
Theres a fair chance you've blown it imo, but are still being dismissive of how he feels and it sounds like you haven't realised the ball is in his court and not yours.

Do you think the selfies is a red flag

Holdinguphalfthesky · 29/08/2026 09:18

Does it really make a difference if he is seeing other women? The relationship sounds toxic as it is, you aren’t happy with a number of things about how the two of you interact, so just end it. Get some peace in your life.

thesealion · 29/08/2026 09:16

littlepink83 · 28/08/2026 18:37

So are you all saying not one thing he has done is a red flag and would insinuate cheating? Not a trace of me on social media or WhatsApp. Tells me he doesn’t speak or hasn’t spoke to his ex wife who he has kids to once in 8 months. Never takes me anywhere etc. when we fall out doesn’t see me for days. Does it not sound like he’s entertaining other women?

You both sound equally as bad as each other and nowhere near mature enough to be in a relationship. That said, I don’t blame him for wanting the weekend away from you based on the behaviour you’ve described in the bar.

AbacusCat · 29/08/2026 09:16

What immediately sticks out is the probable part alcohol is playing here. I know from bitter experience that stupid rows can blow up over nothing when one or both partners have been drinking.

It does sound as though you need to moderate your drinking; you might not drink often, but if you're getting drunk when you do, that isn't helping. Look at help and advice for binge drinkers.

Yes, I have told my husband to 'fuck off' in the past, regretted it, apologised and moved on. I've been married over 20 years.

You need to get yourself into a headspace where you can calmly and rationally assess your relationship - we can't judge it here based on your account of one drunken argument.

vodkaredbullgirl · 29/08/2026 09:07

You are paranoid, get some help.

I would definitely tell this prick to fuck off yeah. I would hazard a guess that he deliberately picked a fight because he had somewhere he would rather be this weekend. This is admittedly in part because of the selfies you said you happened to see on his phone.

Dump him pronto, and more importantly do something for yourself this weekend, don’t let him and his nasty behaviour spoil your childfree time.

Do you think the selfies is a red flag

Askin if you women would tell a man like this to fuck off haha

No, but I would fuck him and the whole relationship off to the far side of fuck with a one-way ticket and no return. It's a car crash and he doesn't even like you much.

HundredMilesAnHour · 28/08/2026 22:21

littlepink83 · 28/08/2026 15:17

I don’t think I’m a heavy drinker. Sometimes I can get a bit carried away. But my mum and dad would be

You said that you barely remember anything. That IS a heavy drinker.

Your relationship sounds toxic but how much of that is down to the drink is impossible to tell based on what you’ve written.

I've been married a long time and don't have my husband on my social media or WhatsApp (I don't even know how I'd have him displayed on that).

Not everybody measures their worth or lives their life for social media.

It would be difficult to base our opinions of him possibly cheating on any of this stuff since you just mentioned it all for the first time…..!

Whoowhoopitstbesoundofthedapolice · 28/08/2026 20:49

I've been in a similar situation and I told him to fuck off. Eventually, when I looked at my own behaviour, I noticed a pattern and worked hard to change it.

It's difficult to see the problematic behaviour until you're ready so,as gentle as I can, i'd like to say ...mate have a fucking word with yourself! Do not accept a relationship where you feel the need to wait around while getting the silent treatment. Bin him and work on yourself!

Best of luck and also stick to stuff like lucozade sports drinks to help with the hangover and fear

It was one night out and I was at a bar. I don’t know why people think just because I was drunk I am now an alcoholic

Because you post here frequently about the same thing, and usually part of the story is that he has criticised your drinking, and your posting style suggests that you aren't always sober, and because you were so drunk that you had to call I sick from work the next day.

Nobody here is saying he's an angel snd it's all your fault, but the whole relationship sounds awful and you don't appear to be helping. As others have said, if you don't like being with him, end it.

The vast majority of us would. But you carry on, Op. He's obviously got a gold encrusted penis.

Naurrr · 28/08/2026 19:55

How is he a boyfriend if you don't go anywhere with him? It doesn't sound like a relationship, why not date other men, or enjoy the bliss of being rid of men?

It doesn't matter what we think. You clearly think what he is doing is wrong. So why are you still with him? You don't need us to tell you he's a bad boyfriend and to leave him. You can ditch him for any reason you choose. Don't like the way he is speaking you? Ditch him. Think he is cheating on you? Ditch him. Think he should be putting you on his Facebook but he isn't? Ditch him. He isn't taking you anywhere and you think he should. Ditch him.

Then work on the reasons you are getting so drunk you have such a bad hangover that you have to ring in sick to work. That's really bad behaviour on your part.

OfficerChurlish · 28/08/2026 19:18

If I were in a relationship with someone who tried to "punish" me by giving me the silent treatment or sulking for days or pretending I didn't exist whenever we had a disagreement or I didn't behave or speak the way he wanted then yes, I'd end the relationship. What's the point if he refuses to communicate? I'd certainly give "space" if he felt he was too angry to talk or wanted time alone, but I'd expect him to tell me that civilly rather than riding off on his huffy and leaving me with no idea what comes next and I'd expect him to have a conversation once he's calmed down so we can avoid this shite in the future.

I don't know either of you and I'm sure there's a lot more to your relationship than what you've written here BUT both the silent treatment, putting the whole blame for an argument on the other person, and the "Oh poor me!" sulky response, when they become habits, are often red flags for emotional abuse. Combine that with his already being nasty to you, accusing you of various things you don't agree are true, and insulting you and your family and I wouldn't wait for his meanness to get more serious.

People are saying it doesn't matter if he's cheating because even if you could be 100% sure that he is NOT cheating, why stay in a relationship that doesn't seem to be making you happy?

littlepink83 · 28/08/2026 18:56

fishonabicycle · 28/08/2026 18:52

Why do you care if he is seeing other women? This relationship is shit and should be finished before you involve your child in it, but or get pregnant.

Why would I not care if he was with another women? Maybe the fact I don’t want my boyfriend cheating on me?
