Unfortunately most of horrendous rapes and attacks are never made public knowledge.
Most of these monsters are never caught as they are unidentifiable or there is insufficient evidence for the CPS to prosecute.
And as for a PP who tried to convince all that this isnt actually happening, dont do that please.

Apparently most people think it's acceptable because we have our own homegrown rapists. I suppose we should be used to being raped, stabbed and beaten by now. I mean, what are we like, complaining about all this?

I think we'll have to start altering our behaviour. No going out alone, not going out at night, covering up so that we don't inflame their uncontrollable urges. Only doing things in groups. Making sure our children/young people aren't out alone. Making sure our girls are collected from school. Hey, it could even be a Good Thing because then they'll be protected from the rapist Reform voters as well. It's a win win.

Baryalai Rahimi, 25, and Mirebadurahman Sadat, 29 appeared in court on 20th August this year, charged with raping a 14 year old girl on a train from Sturry in Kent to London.

Khan Agah, 19, and Noorullah Ahmdzai, 26, appeared in court on the same day, accused of raping a woman who had been lying under the stars in Barking Park with her date while he played guitar. Daily Mail reported that Ahmdzai raped her while Agah held a Swiss Army-type knife to the man’s throat and threatened him.

These particular rapes have been widely reported because both court cases were on the very day the Home Office issued guidance to asylum seekers, asking them to please not commit rape and sexual harassment.

Shame the leaflet was issued too late for those victims, don't you think? (Not to mention all the other victims whose court case were on other days.) I'm sure it would have enlightened those men and made all the difference. And then the young woman and the child they attacked wouldn't have been left with life-long trauma blighting their lives.

Very very sadly, it is not unknown amonst the student population.

Do people get drunk and go in the canal alot where you live

Experiences vary. I used to live round the corner from both a teaching hospital (with helipad) and a brand new purpose built GP centre that had excellent systems, staff and equipment, dedicated maternity clinic space and a vaccination nurse specialist , etc. so our NHS health care was truly excellent. My aunt lives rurally and has a long wait for any appointment with the nearest GP, who is miles away and also not very competent. If she calls an ambulance the nearest A&E that could deal with anything more than a minor injury is 22 miles away. Likewise I am a professional living in a middle class area, all of the immigrants I know personally are professionals with excellent English who arrived legally and pay masses of tax. My experience is perhaps not the same as someone living three doors up from a hostel for young men who arrived in dinghies.

Gang raped on a train? I don't think so. Be careful, don't walk around deserted places alone, don't get drunk and go in the canal.

Answer: just the UK I think.

Actually: Spain, Greece, German and Sweden, just to mention a few countries where rapes of women and girls by refugees. So, no, not just the UK.

People aren't going to claim for a broken wingmirror and have their insurance increase and pay excess it's cheaper to just pay to get it done yourself.

It is true. Look at the statistics in countries that do publish the data.

And then ask yourself why our government is working so hard to get out of the ICO ruling to release detailed conviction data broken down by the offenders' nationalities.

Instead of fixing the problem, they focus on 'managing' the population - gaslighting us so that we accept the unacceptable.

I guess I read it as "other countries are as bad" when it seems you meant "we are not the only country with these issues".

DH and I have had similar conversations as well. We divide our time between Jersey and the UK, but we no longer enjoy it in quite the same way, and our DC are not especially fond of it either. We are now considering a move next year.

No it’s not universally true, some areas (often inner cities) have more problems than others, but my husband is currently having treatment for cancer and he’s able to access an excellent Oncologist and has regular treatment at the GP surgery with no charge, and no private medical insurance. He needed an unrelated ambulance in an emergency earlier this year and it was there within 25 minutes. Food prices have increased but a weekly shop for two people is around £80. Energy costs are higher than they should be. I live in a village in the central South West, schools have a pretty good reputation, there is a good community and people look out for each other. It really does depend on where you live, what skills you have. If you are struggling on minimum wage in an expensive city then things are tougher than if you have good earning potential and can afford to buy a house in a decent area. The crime in my area is virtually zero, apart from speeding! I have children living in central London, aside from one of them having their headphones pinched off their head on the train two years ago, neither have been victims of any crime.

To be completely honest, we have stayed in the most affluent parts of Portugal and it is VERY run down, almost third world in places. I was shocked.

It is a country that is clearly struggling, and as nice as the people are, it is hardly going to be somewhere your dc are going to thrive in their very very limited jobs market. Their education levels are limited. Their infrastructure is poor. I am surprised this is where op is living, and describes the UK in the way she does! Kettle calling the saucepan black I would say. Things are vastly more sophisticated and well funded here in the UK in comparison.

The issue is once the children are of an age where their education really really matters, there is no way they will be able to catch up with their British peers, and op will be stuck out there regardless. As her children will not cope back in the UK as the standards are very different. So yes, I would be looking very carefully at moving back for my children's future if nothing else, unless you are happy for the dc to become a waiter, hotel cleaners or taxi drivers. No wonder op is concerned.
