To think it’s only the older generations that have strong feelings about Harry and Meghan?

Does anyone younger actually care at all? I just don’t understand the strength of feeling at all. I don’t know them, who knows what is true and what isn’t. It’s just family drama that so many families unfortunately have. I just don’t quite understand how some people are so passionately angry about it all? It’s just celebrity gossip essentially, who cares.

The number of threads about them on MN (and how long those threads are) is disproportionate to real life. I couldn't muster an opinion on them (beyond my general anti-royal sentiment, which isn't about them per se), I can't imagine them coming up in any conversation I'd have with anyone I know and yet some people - I don't know what demographic! - seem to have such strong feelings about them.

Tbh, we’re older (early 50s) and I don’t think we’ve ever had a conversation about them.

Our young adult sons I suspect, barely know who they, nor any of the royals, such is their disinterest.

Well I’m early 50’s and couldn’t care less about any of the Royal family.

However, what I do despise is the British media and the public (including those on MN) hounding and vilifying anyone, Royal or not, and in tragic cases there has been some who have taken their own lives as a result.

I am "older" and have never heard any of my friends or acquaintances proffer an opinion on this. It's not a topic that comes up at all.
I do sometimes take a quick look at the threads on MN though!

Hmmm. My sons are in their twenties and think H is a tw&t, mainly for how he treated his db and df. They don’t care about the RF at all but they relate to it on a family level.

I am not angry about them in the least but it’s nice to have a bloody good gossip about their motivations and what might kick off, it’s a bit of light entertainment for the plebs 😂
