This thread is actually full of data that presents a clear case for OP’s concerns but instead, you’ve resorted to an argument which boils down to ‘the majority of men in the UK are British’ which is ironically, one of the silliest, most irrelevant arguments possible in this debate.

I think a lot of women who moved to the UK are feeling very let down because they wanted a better life, fought for that, brought great things here - and now the worst problems they escaped are coming here

First of all, punishments do not deter crime, nor does increasing the severity of the penalty.

Your experience is simply your experience. In my first hand experience of living in Britain and having British family members, I would consider rape and sexual assault to be rare. But that’s not the reality, with 1 in 4 women in the UK having experienced rape or sexual assault.

Afghanistan is considered to be the most dangerous country in the world for women. Afghan migrants are more likely to be charged with and/or convicted of, sexual offences and violence. There are clearly not “very few” rapes in Afghanistan.

Why?

And you are either too young or weren’t in the country ‘back in the day’ before immigration was the problem it is now but in my 50 years here it’s never been safe for women, I never walked the streets at night or if I did in my youth I was very much aware of the dangers. My daughters in their 20s have always known the danger men pose.

Incorrect, the majority of states you can’t marry below 17 unless you have a judges and parental consent. In those states, you can marry but can’t have sex. The lowest age of consent in the US is 16 (in many states, it’s actually higher than the UK)

So, it’s not even close to be equivalent to countries like Afghanistan where a man can easily force a marriage on a 9 year old, legally rape her and get her pregnant, is it! GO EDUCATE YOURSELF.

i think the reason many men are unconcerned is that it is well established women are disproportionately attacked and murdered by men they know in their own homes- then why are men being let in as refugees so much of a problem. There are no policies to make women less at risk from men they know, clearly the safety of women and girls is not a high priority for government, and never has been.

I’d like to see a comparison of rape rates between men who have been in conflict and men who have not. I suspect that has as much bearing on rape rates as nationality - only a hunch. My assumption is that where life is seen as being “cheap”, female lives are seen as being even cheaper.
