On the whole it is safe for you to go to the park and walk around by yourself and it’s sad to hear you feel unable to do that where you live, especially having come here from another country, presumably in the hope that life would be better here. As a higher rate tax payer I’d imagine you can move to a better part of town.

Not unreasonable to expect your husband to take your concerns seriously but is it possible that he’s seeing you become scared without needing to? As women we always need to be cautious but scared is extreme. He probably just wants you to be happy.

Don't know about you, but I don't need to be covered head to toe, stay away from windows and refrain from singing. My dds will be going out without a chaperone today, wearing shorts if they wish, and won't be getting married until they are adults and consent. They're also allowed to go to school - shock horror.

Local authorities pay the private companies to deliver care but don't have any say how much of that hourly rate goes to the carer.If the care companies couldn't recruit any carers and couldn't go abroad, they would have to pay the staff more to recruit them.

While I have some sympathy with you - men often do not understand the risks that we as women routinely face - I also I think you are making a lot of assumptions. The government producing the leaflet doesn’t automatically mean that they think these men are a particular risk.

They haven’t all been convicted by any means.🤷‍♀️

There was a three part documentary on last week - Groomed/Channel 4, telling the story of what happened when children/young girls in Barrow in Furness tried to report what was going on.

One young girl was actually jailed, and is still forbidden from speaking to media. 🙄

Is it not incase vigilantes attack everyone from that background if the data came out? Could it not cause a lot of other issues?

Unfortunately the problem is societal as a whole.

I try to focus on the fact it's Not all men, so we don't turn into a man hating society... but I read posts on here where men haven't stood up for women against other creepy men and therein lies part of the problem.

Men need to protect. Not rape.

They don’t need to directly.

Consent etc is already covered in the curriculum.

So our children get the education at school and the people claiming asylum haven’t had it so get it on arrival.

Unfortunately there will always be be some men who receive this education who will rape anyway.

I think the lack of prosecutions doesn’t help here as the deterrent isn’t anyway high enough.

Most of it's funded by the local authority so I wouldn't have any faith in the wages increasing, they'd sit back and watch it crumble and be glad of the savings they make whilst people are waiting longer to find care. I work for a Reform council and they already pull out all the stops to delay and reduce the care people receive so they can make savings.
