I wholeheartedly agree. There is a lot of weaponisation of mental health /illnesses being used as an insult towards those who disagree with their opinion. It’s lazy, childish and used by those who either think it’s 2020 when people might have believed these ridiculous statements or by those who have simply run out of road in their arguments so resort to petty insults.

Just because people criticise them it doesn't mean they " hate " them . That would be like saying people who praise their actions " love" them. It doesn't make logical sense.

And if you object that your taxes may be spent on their security why do you only feel upset about that in isolation rather than the fact that:

~That Edward and Sophie live in a £30 million pound mansion with 120 rooms for which they pay a peppercorn rent for doing a job arguably no more onerous or complex than your average petrol station operative.

~The Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall generate over €40 million annually for the King and the Prince of Wales and as they are historically state assets, their profits should go directly to the public treasury.

~Legally, the monarch is exempt from the 40% inheritance tax normally applied to wealthy estates, saving the royal family an estimated £250 million during recent successions.

~And while the King and William now share selective accounts to apparently “show transparency”, and pay some income and capital gains taxes voluntarily, they remain legally exempt from standard taxation on their sovereign estates and duchies under historical laws. In fact neither the monarch, or the Prince of Wales, is legally bound to pay income, capital gains, or inheritance taxes. Paying income tax remains legally voluntary for the monarch, and the lack of independent auditing allows them to obscure their true contributions and savings in this area.

~That continuing to increase public funding for a wealthy hereditary institution represents a misuse of public money, especially when we are renovating Buckingham Palace to the tune of £369 million, and that sum is being funded from the public purse through a temporary, parliament-approved increase—or "uplift"—in the state-funded Sovereign Grant , which temporarily raised the percentage of Crown Estate profits allocated to the royal household from 15% to 25% for the duration of the project. All this while our public health systems crumble.

And that AMW’s public funded security did nothing to prevent that?

Most of that sounds like the RF in general then. Do you think that bunch of over privileged and highly dysfunctional pariahs are any better? Harry and Meghan have been a bloody god send to the right wing press.
