To think Count Binface is doing a great job in the Clacton by-election?

Count down to Bin Day!

Count Binface has been out bigging-up Clacton and drawing attention to its potential.

It’s a really positive campaign.

I don’t think he’ll win but I’d love it if he did. I think he’d be brilliant.

And if he doesn’t, I think other candidates could learn a lot from his approach.

Usually a raised stage is erected for the candidates to stand on when the result is announced. However, one large enough for them all and strong enough to take their weight could not be found. 😂

I think if it were only NF standing on it, it would be likely to collapse under the weight of his ego.

Very probably (forgetting the extreme darkness of the money he's trousered)

I will be pleased about the standard £3 donation I chipped in for the Count for the rest of my life.

Turnout estimated at 43%

Last GE was 58.7%

I’m actually quite surprised that the turnout wasn’t higher, given the publicity. But I guess some people choose not to vote and others may not have favoured any of the candidates.

And it was a hot, hot day. Even Farage’s pub was empty.

Yes.

“Early turnout figures project around 43 per cent of the total electorate voted today, with around 39 per cent of votes at a polling station and around 72 per cent via postal votes, according to Acting Returning Officer is Ian Davidson”.

Unfortunately it's possible Clacton will still be stuck when they could have had the most unique MP. In any case well done Count. I hope it leads to something even more constructive and fun!

In think Clacton has missed a trick. They could have had a genuinely antiestablishment MP who brought lots of attention and tourism to the area. What a shame!

Read something earlier another Reform bod, 19/20 year old leader of a LA, banging on about 'the Establishment'. This really is part of their schtick as we know, although how anyone can lump everyone from the Greens and the far Left of Labour into that I have no idea. Falls apart even more when the suggestion is that a 5,900 year old Recyclon space warrior with a bin for a head is part of said 'Establishment'. The Establishment seems to be anyone of whatever stripe who disagrees with Farage.

I work with this dude (unless there’s more than one of them). It’s an absolute farce, he understands nothing, isn’t willing or able to learn or listen and responds to any challenge with something along the lines yeah but you are rubbish/a waste of space/some form of personal insult etc etc. it’s year 8 level of debate at best.

He is completely and embarrassingly out of his depth. We’re trying to do serious things with serious budgets and he just isn’t competent. Currently very ashamed to work for the organisation that I do and won’t be (thankfully) for much longer.

It is really grim. It’s very telling that he’s Leader, there are other elected Reform Councillors in my authority who are reasonable intelligent people who want to represent their communities and put a lot of work in to try and make a difference. It’s fairly clear that Reform - as in the party- don’t care at all about the actual people they represent, it’s about who’s best at being told what to do by Nigel.

GF @MrsPMole ? I thought he sounded like a complete tosser from the piece I read, much sympathy.

It seems NF (despite claiming a bigly victory) will not be attending the result, because of a "credible threat" to disrupt it and also because he doesn't want to be surrounded by nonentity. Or something.

Well!

The Bin didn’t win but Farage has been deeply humiliated.

And is showing his true colours.

Lying about why he wasn’t at the count, saying he’d been advised to stay away (which the police deny) while giving the real reason:

”I am damned if I am going to stand on a stage, having won a resounding victory... and be demeaned and humiliated by nobodies,"

What are the chances of him being seen in Clacton again any time soon?

I’m still classing it as a win for the bin.
Farage couldnt even bring himself to attend lest he be embarrassed. Says it all really.
