Bums hanging out of the bottom of teeny tiny shorts

Don’t know if this really AIBU or a question!
AIBU to think that shorts have become way too short ?
I have seen a LOT of girls in shorts today - with their bum cheeks hanging out the bottom ! Personally I wouldn’t let my daughter out like that. And I wouldn’t were them myself (I would give everyone nightmares !).
so what’s the consensus on bums hanging out of shorts ?

You don't need a "place" to judge. You don't need any particular status. Just go ahead and judge like everyone else does.

Oh i haven't seen them the pic I put on is like what my daughters wear and I see nothing wrong with but my opinion might be different if they where shorter then that

It’s just a display of youth . I can remember as a teen wearing shorts and tucking my T-shirt in to my bra to show off my flat tummy

I believe women should dress exactly as they chose.

I also believe that they should consider the people who have to look at what they're wearing.

Are their genitals and arsehole covered? As long as the shorts are covering the area normal swimwear or knickers (full, high leg, bikini etc, not thong/string) would cover, then they aren't indecent.

It is a fashion choice i certainly wouldn't make myself, but a bit of lower/side bum cheek is hardly obscene, its not labia or bum crack/hole.

Agree entirely with this.

You are free not to like it and not to wear it, but there's nothing indecent or insanitary about it. It's just a buttock!

A woman got on the bus yesterday in what I could only describe as underwear, it was a bra im sorry to be crude but they were absolutely spilling out and what could only be described as knickers it was shocking cant believe people think it’s ok to walk around like that

They just look like short shorts though - lots of leg and no bum cheeks. The kind of shorts the OP is talking about are cut away like Brazilian knickers so they show half of people's buttocks.

Ergh I hate it to OP, I don't want to see anyone's arse. I also hate when men walk about without t-shirts on, especially in places like the supermarket. It just looks grim.

Nipples, arses, vulvas and penises should all be covered up as a minimum.

You don’t have to go far back in history to find it was crude to show an ankle. I wonder where it will end? Next summer there’ll be flaps either side of tiny knickers and maybe the following year bollocks will follow the trend. Nice.

I tell my daughter exactly why it’s a problem to have such short shorts, but although I wouldn’t buy them for her she borrowed her friend’s!!
During the heat I’ve been sympathetic, will double down if it remains a problem.

Tbh I’ve not noticed anyone wearing short shorts where I live so am wondering if this thread is rage bait. Or maybe I’ve not noticed because I’m not interested in what others choose to wear.

As humans, I feel its is very normal to have critical views about lots of things other humans do. I am equally judgemental of men. I don't want to see any arse cheeks when I am going about my day, male or female. I dont like short shorts, I don't like seeing men walking around days with no tops on on hot days either. Doesn't mean I want to ban dental floss bikinis but I don't appreciate seeing naked and semi naked buttocks when going about my business. I think its crass. Why are women immune to people being critical of their 'attire' ?
