Bloody awful. In town today, we were waking behind a girl no older than 13 with her shorts rolled
up as high as she could, ass cheeks fully on display! Just awful. I expect they were not rolled up when she left home as surely no mother would allow their child to dress like that.

it doesn’t really bother me (though there is some envy that my arse cheeks are somehow much larger and at the same time much saggier and flatter….also they never seem to have the dimples aka sink holes that I also have 😂)

A lot of places have rules around men being topless in the summer months. Its not allowed in many places. But there's nothing "private" about mens chests so why do we need that rule? Because people find it gross!

No I didn't. You incorrectly implied that there would be no reason for someone wearing lycra to be in a cafe. Yet, it should be common knowledge that cyclists frequently stop at cafes during long cycles.

p.s. I was wearing short shorts circa 1993. We called them ‘batty riders’. This is not new.

These shorts aren't what we're talking about. They cover the bum. To give you an idea, I've seen women wearing literally belts with a couple of inches of fringe, and a G string, and that's it.

Those women are posed in a particular way. Standing up the shorts would cover the bottom. The ones women, including young teens, are wearing are cut entirely differently.

I sort of admire girls wearing this sort of thing, especially when they don’t have the bodies of lithe models but have the confidence anyway. That’s a style in and of itself, and it’s really about the girl in question enjoying her body and clothes at an age/in a place when it’s ok to do that.

The 50+yo mother in me is absolutely horrified. I tell my DD straight: you go out like that and you’re asking for trouble. No, wearing this or that gives nobody permission to assault or harass or follow you or chat you up or do anything at all to you. But until she and I are living in a perfect world where that never happens, the reality is that it will happen and whoever is at fault makes no difference to the fact that she will be the one to suffer.

I saw a beautiful young girl yesterday and she had the shortest nylon skirt on that kept riding up and showing bum cheek and pants every few steps. She had to keep pulling it down. It just seemed a faff and uncomfortable. My line was always that my Fanny and arse were covered at the very least and I had a banging figure in my early 20’s.
