I hear this argument being made a lot but it just doesn't match up with my experience at all. I used to get cat called all the time as a young girl and it definitely correlated with what I was wearing. I remember wearing my pube-skimming low rise jeans back in the day and getting hollered at by men in cars 3 times in a ten minute walk. It was only then that I realised they might be a bit revealing.

I got cat called last year for the first time in about 10 years (you can imagine my shock). Got home and realised my top had gone see through in the wash.

Of course women should be able to wear what they want but we're being dishonest to young girls if we tell them it makes no difference.

So if he was slim or muscular then it would be ok.

On balance aesthetically I prefer this to trousers which hang halfway down the leg- which will never be right albeit there is adequate bum coverage.

No-one is 'dictating' that women should wear these type of shorts. Girls/women are doing it because they like the attention they get from men. It's entirely their choice to let it all hang out.

Most species have mating behaviours, to signify that you're up for it. So long as no one ASSUMES you're up for it and everyone behaves respectfully, what is actually wrong with trying to attract a man if you want to have sex with one?

Yes sad that. I went to the high school the other day to drop off something my own girl had left at home. The amount of girls in tiny short skirts just barely covering the bum at the top of the thigh and then also many girls had their bums on show. It was really sad.

Before my son finished his gcses 2 years ago, a round robin email was sent out basically saying that, can all parents ensure their daughter's are wearing past the knee length skirts. That girls are struggling with sitting down and going upstairs as its showing their private areas.

Agree it isn’t a good look, not particularly classy but then it usually isn’t the classiest women doing it… My teen DD’s hate it too so it isn’t a young person thing, just a certain type of female thing.
