Thought I would create a thread for all the everyday irritations that are too petty to share but get your blood up. Whether your oestrogen and agreeableness has deserted you or you are just generally feeling a bit pissed off with things- I feel it’s always better to get it off your chest. And in that spirit-I will begin…

I have a lovely relationship with Vinted (I buy too much shit on here) but it really gets on my nerves when people:

  1. post photos of shoes with foot cheese evident all over the soles (ick).
  2. soneone posts something with a stain saying ‘it will come out in the wash’. So wash it you dirty gopper.

Also ‘DH’ stop leaving your dribbling toothbrush and bog blocking shites in the loo for me to tackle. Fucking beast.

That is all today.

Possibly…..

Yes to flies, why is it so easy for them to come in and so hard for them to get out?

An impatient man who beeped at me for letting two people out. The lights ahead were red so it’s not as though I was holding him up anyway.

DH sitting on his phone for half an hour after work, which is not a problem in itself but then he goes for a walk and rings me to chat while I’m trying to get dinner ready. Just speak to me at home FFS.

People on Vinted who give a sob story for a discount. Sorry I don’t care if it’s your one legged cat’s birthday, I’m not selling a £20 item for 50p.

Notgonnalieaboutthis · 16/06/2026 15:27

Fecked off with myself for eating a whole tub of ice cream

dancinfeet · 16/06/2026 15:23

The Vinted customer who did not bother to pick up their parcel - they are out of pocket postage, but get a refund on the item cost, meanwhile I am out of pocket (marginally) for the cost of the mailing bag, but made a completely out of my way trip to the post office on my way to work because the customer was insistent they needed it sending quickly, which I did. Vinted should charge 20% of the sale for non collection and pay this to the seller for their inconvenience. When item is returned it will have to be relisted, let’s hope that one of the other 40 people who liked the original listing spot it and are still interested.

People asking me stupid questions at work, that they know the answer too, the answer that will remain the same...... no matter how many times you ask me 🙄

dh is updating his phone contract. I DO NOT NEED A RUNNING COMMENTARY about how shocking the vodafone website is, or how difficult it is to understand the contract variations, or how he now needs another password. If you need to speak out loud when you're on your computer please go into another room!

Oh and in the space of my writing this he's told me twice that he thinks he's saved £17.

My response "Ah that's nice dear". What I wanted to say was "I'm not f'**ing interested"

Edited

I used to have one like that😂
Tell your husband to get a pac code and Vodafone will be straight on to him asking why he wants to cancel. They will greatly reduce his bill to get him to stay with them. I know from recent experience😊

NotAWurstToIt · 16/06/2026 15:12

Work stuff!
One colleague took it upon themselves to see a message in a particular chat, about a particular subject and decide, without asking, that this applied to all situations and not just that one so proceeded to message everyone “Oh, we need to do X from now on”.
No, Jill we fecking don’t!
I’ve got to go to a meeting tomorrow and it’s going to take hours to get there, be there all day, then hours back. It could be done on Teams, but my boss wants us all to get together, to sit in a room all day to ‘bond’. FFS.🤦‍♀️

petitpasta · 16/06/2026 14:59

Oh the stain comment on vinted annoys me too. It always make me think they know absolutely that the stain won't come off, otherwise they'd have washed it themselves surely?

Ditto things listed as new without tags then the description says it's been worn. It's not new then is it? I don't mind stuff not being new, there's a gorgeous shirt dresses drying on my washing line right now. It's been worn but I am happy to buy it described as that. Just be honest!

My boss and his AI habit. So glad I am leaving and will no longer get his co-pilot drafted nonsensical word soup documents. We all use AI, it's just that some of us have the sense to proofread it first you dickhead!

The shoe firm who've sent me the wrong coloured shoes. But I actually like the ones they've sent (which have the correct colour marked on the box). I hate the faff of sending stuff back, and I don't have a printer, to print out the returns label. But I really want them to know they've messed up.
I didn't really need them anyway. I just wanted them. 🤔 👞 👞

Skyejay · 16/06/2026 14:40

Well the dog had diarrhoea on her walk , she managed to step in it , got it all over her back legs had to use clumps of grass cuttings to clean her up , got her home ran a basin of hot soapy water to wash her and clean her up , and she was lying on the couch , it’s just been one of those days and I think why bother !🥺

People who persistently phone until i answer just so that they can tell me about their trip to sainsburys.

Hi, Mum.

CelticSilver · 16/06/2026 14:35

Big bastard flies that keep coming in the house and seem to think there's an invisible forcefield preventing them from pissing off out of a wide open window.

HolyMoly24 · 16/06/2026 14:35

People who still feed bread to ducks.

surely it is common knowledge by now that it’s bad for them, plus there are usually signs up saying ‘please do not feed ducks bread’ but people still do it!!

cadburyegg · 16/06/2026 14:33

My exh isn’t returning the clothes our ds1 has worn to his house which means I don’t have enough joggers for the weekend away. He’s claiming he doesn’t have them but I have a video of my ds1 WEARING them at his house!!!

My mum called me earlier and I was complaining about the above then I realised she was with a friend and I was on loudspeaker 😭 why

123becauseicouldntthinkofone · 16/06/2026 14:30

Sat in the office and someone is whistling on another desk and on the opposite desk someone is having a meeting and all i can hear is hmmm mmmm, hhhmmmm hummmmm. No engagement (TF i am not involved in that) but its all really getting on my last nerve. Going for a drink after work!!!!!

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 16/06/2026 14:27

The jumpsuit I'm wearing is slightly too short in the body so when I sit down the front presses on my neck. I cannot abide things touching my neck. So I'm having to fidget about to get it back in the right place.

Slugs have been at my lettuces.

Nobody knows how to indicate round here.

The bin bags at work have been swapped for cheaper ones that don't fit the bins properly and burst all the time.

This will probably make me sound so fussy - shopping for a decent rain jacket that doesn't cost the earth

I have been online looking today why is it so difficult 😫

RaraRachael · 16/06/2026 14:18

goingtotown · 16/06/2026 13:51

Dustman leaving my empty bin 3 doors down.

My gate opens outwards to allow me to put the bins out.
It drives me mad when the binmen empty them then put then right in front of the gate so I can't open it.

Scarlettpixie · 16/06/2026 14:13

I have put the cushions out in the garden and now rain is forecast later. I have taken a 10 minute break with my coffee outside just to make the most of it but other than that I will probably just end up fetching them in again as it will likely rain before I finish work (I work from home).

The weeds are growing like fury with all the rain. I have brambles and now nettles ffs!

I have a piece of work to do that I am procrastinating over and so I am both annoyed about having to do the task and about my procrastination.

Boopydoo · 16/06/2026 14:04

Snippy friend wanting things back, fair enough, had finished borrowing them a while back and she knew that I was no longer using them. She arrived to collect them, just a handful of items and I offered to help her carry them. She had asked for them to be left outside, but I am home and was out grabbing washing off the line as it started raining again. Then I started throwing plants into pots that have needed to be planted, but it won't ever dry up for any length of time! I knew she was due and was just wondering why the leave outside etc she generally knows I'm home on this particular day. Well, the picking up of items and dropping them a bit further away from me, to create a pile, then the moving that pile to around the corner outside my garden, back and forth, back and forth, then a bit further up the street, back and forth back and forth, refusing help etc etc was quite comical at the time.
Now I'm in again and wondering what the hell that was all about!

DH offering to take DS to a sports event to get out of a family bbq when I am the default parent for 95% of things... funnily enough he didnt offer to be the parent who picked DD up from uni, cleared and hoovered her room, went to a school event, took DS to the dentist, emailed school when he was going to miss an exam etc
....

CeciliaMars · 16/06/2026 13:45

Vinted only offering size 12-14 or 16-18.

FloodlightsOnTheSquare · 16/06/2026 13:40

Teenagers who seem to be completely oblivious to how a house is run, and that they, from time to time, may have to act as part of a family, which involves helping each other, instead of labouring under the delusion that your parents are actually your staff.

Ihateboris · 16/06/2026 13:39

Fucking neighbour hasn't stopped whistling in what feels like hours whilst he's gardening..my one day off in ages and I just want to relax in my garden.
