Thought I would create a thread for all the everyday irritations that are too petty to share but get your blood up. Whether your oestrogen and agreeableness has deserted you or you are just generally feeling a bit pissed off with things- I feel it’s always better to get it off your chest. And in that spirit-I will begin…

I have a lovely relationship with Vinted (I buy too much shit on here) but it really gets on my nerves when people:

  1. post photos of shoes with foot cheese evident all over the soles (ick).
  2. soneone posts something with a stain saying ‘it will come out in the wash’. So wash it you dirty gopper.

Also ‘DH’ stop leaving your dribbling toothbrush and bog blocking shites in the loo for me to tackle. Fucking beast.

That is all today.

Possibly…..

dh is updating his phone contract. I DO NOT NEED A RUNNING COMMENTARY about how shocking the vodafone website is, or how difficult it is to understand the contract variations, or how he now needs another password. If you need to speak out loud when you're on your computer please go into another room!

Oh and in the space of my writing this he's told me twice that he thinks he's saved £17.

My response "Ah that's nice dear". What I wanted to say was "I'm not f'**ing interested"

Edited

haha yes this!!! and they insist they are conversing, having a conversation with you - I DO NOT WANT A RUNNING COMMENTARY ON WHAT YOU ARE DOING YOU DICKHEAD (I want to browse/doomscroll in peace)

DisplayPurposesOnly · 16/06/2026 12:01

I cant amend my supermarket order that's being delivered on Friday. Technical error, supermarket cant amend it either.

I want to add something to take on holiday (leaving Friday night) and cant get whilst im away (remote, no shops). I really dont want to go to a supermarket before then (no time, thats why im having a delivery).

It's usually a pain-free experience <sigh>

I am very familiar with this view.

Purplecatshopaholic · 16/06/2026 11:57

Oh blimey @JustAnotherWhinger, my sympathies.

JustAnotherWhinger · 16/06/2026 11:53

Sorry, that was quite a rant.

JustAnotherWhinger · 16/06/2026 11:53

People commenting on what they would do with our trouble-causing 4yo.

No, Mary, you wouldn’t “be nipping that in the bud”.
No, Jim, you wouldn’t “be removing all toys until he learned some manners”.
No, Steve, you wouldn’t “be laying down the law”.

When he was facing being orphaned and his mother needed help you all said you couldn’t cope so don’t be pretending you have any fucking clue what you would do in our shoes. You wouldn’t ever wear our shoes so piss off with your opinions on what we should be doing.

And suggesting we should be mega harsh on a 4yo who is, after months, grasping the reality of the fact his Mummy isn’t away for a bit, a while, a long time or a period of time that isn’t forever makes me fucking glad you said you couldn’t. So please close your mouth and let me deal with the pre-schooler who is clearly testing to see if I’ll also leave in the way I see fit thanks.

Shite weather

A Vinted seller who sold me a damaged item as "very good", requested a return, and has left the return sitting at the parcel shop uncollected for a week

sausageth · 16/06/2026 11:50

The constant overthinking and second guessing I do when it comes to every tiny decision so everything takes far longer than it needs to. I wish my brain could be rewired.

SleepyWhippetMum · 16/06/2026 11:50

Ex husband sends me a text to say he has a new job and will be dropping from 5 days a fortnight of childcare to 2 from 1st July. When I replied that I also work 8-6 four days a week so we will have to discuss options or he can start paying me child support, I get a barrage of abuse.

I thought when I left him I would get to be free of this kind of bullshit!!

ConstanzeMozart · 16/06/2026 11:47
  • need damp work doing in the house. One lot of people are queuing up to come round, inject damp courses and take my money, another lot are throwing up their hands in horror at the idea and insisting it's a full-on restoration job.
  • my new ankle bracelet hurts my ankle.
  • hay fever is back with a vengeance.
  • Royal Mail have lost a parcel I tried to send that would have made me £15 for an item I got in a charity shop for £4.

I'll leave it there.

Gettingbysomehow · 16/06/2026 11:47

Being perpetually on NHS waiting lists for various things and never getting seen whilst struggling to keep working full time without the surgery I desperately need.
I've asked to see the haemaologist privately to try and speed things up a bit and I'm still waiting.

The arthritis in my hip is really painful today , nothings touching it and it’s really pissing me off 🤬

Pickledonion1999 · 16/06/2026 11:33

DH has my car as his is in the garage so I'm limited where I can go.
Grey roots have come through at an alarming rate, hairdressers appointment isn't for another month and DS's graduation the day before.
Our garden has lots of trees and baby birds keep falling out of their nests etc. mother birds are squawking constantly and I cannot let the dog into the garden at all or have the patio doors open. I have already had to rescue one baby bird from inside our house this week that the dog chased in- I did not touch it and it seemed to be ok. This blooming baby bird situation is stressing me !
DD has just learnt to drive and already done a' big' trip from Bournemouth to London and worrying me. I'm stressing about her getting back safely.

bebefin · 16/06/2026 11:30

Being 8 days overdue and a natural birth skipping out of my fingers!
Asked for monitoring instead of induction (they induce at +7 now!!) and baby looks fine but I’m scared & frustrated that he won’t come before my induction Thursday.
It’s not fair. All my babies are overdue and huge! Wish I had a 38 weeker 7lb sounds like bliss 😮‍💨

Enigma54 · 16/06/2026 11:29

My fucking hair! I’m on chemo (permanently) and my hair has decided to grow. Except, instead of my lovely dark curly hair coming through, it resembles a bloody wire pan scrubby thing ( including the texture!)

It’s DD’s graduation in 5 weeks, WTAF am I going to do?? 😔😔☹️

I would like to know how copious white speckles of toothpaste get on the mirror, on the towel radiator and on the window sill. H swears it's not him and I know it's not me. It's an absolute mystery.

Also, who has piddled up the tiles at the side of the loo?

who has opened the cereal box upside down?

who sprinkled rice all over the kitchen floor?

who leaves packets of biscuits open so that they go soft?

who puts on mud encrusted boots with deep tread and leaves dried clumps of mud/grass throughout the house, including kitchen, sitting room, hall stairs landing?

who crammed the towel down behind the radiator instead of folding it in half and sliding it on?

who uses one teaspoon until it goes dark brown and rough textured?

who spills a drink across the entire length of a room and carries on as if they're completely unaware of it?

who always coughs/hoiks up globs of mucus before they enter a room/before they begin to speak?

who bellows hello into their phone in the most irritated and aggressive fashion to everyone who rings?

who innocently pretends not to hear so that you have to repeat things several times?

who has the audacity to ask direct questions when I'm counting stitches?

oh I could go on ...

and he denies it all

Tax form that’s just landed in my email. I have zero idea how to fill it in. Procrastination in progress.

Frigging flies in the house. Especially the one bastard that I just can't get rid of in the lounge. It's been buzzing around me for 3 days now.

I burn lemongrass oil and it seems to clear the feckers out.

I was just about to moan about dating and the apps but you’ve made me feel better about being single 🤣

DilemmaDelilah · 16/06/2026 11:23

Not a lot today 😁. Morrison's didn't have the flowers I ordered, not the bread rolls. Luckily I have marigolds in the garden and we don't HAVE to have burgers, or we can have them when we next go out and can pop into a shop.

Next sizing!!! What the actual....? My DH is a 32 regular in trousers. Always. So I order him some 32 regular chinos from Next. Do they fit? No they do not! They are I think at least 3 inches too small at the waist. They went straight back!

Sesquioxides · 16/06/2026 11:21

Am trying to buy some beauty stuff. Does any one site have everything I want? Nope! So now I need to piss around on Sephora for my tubing mascara, Boots for brow pens and TK Maxx for face cream incurring delivery charges along the way, meanwhile only Superdrug seems to have decent previews of their nail varnishes and literally nowhere seems to do colourful glittery nail varnish anymore FFS!

OP posts:

Sodding hayfever.

Our entire team were a symphony of sniffing and sneezes in the office yesterday. Half the team want to claw their eyeballs out and I have a snotty feeling throat.

Can't get away with it even when working from home because I can hear other people sniffing on teams meetings 😤

Bolloxtoitall · 16/06/2026 11:11

Lucky- I really hate those drowsy twat flies - they are lingerers but get a shift on when you try and swot them. Bastards.
