According to MN it's a thing immature men do and something to be stamped out. Where as in reality, around 41% of game consoles are owned by a woman. And in several markets woman out number men significantly.

Really? I appreciate it might be the sort of hobby people don’t talk about but I’ve never known a woman mention gaming ever. Not a single woman my entire life.

Junk food and unhealthy snacks. Apparently a majority of MN posters are eating kale chips, Greek yoghurt and brown rice because they are delicious and wouldn't consider eating a pringle or a lump of bog-standard ordinary cheddar, let alone a McDonald's or some KFC.

In reality, although a lot of us may eat kale chips, Greek yoghurt and brown rice very few of us would eat them because they are delicious, and very few of us wouldn't secretly prefer to be munching on a handful of pringles.

Take McDonald's as an example. If you believed what you read on here it should be deserted most of the time because it's terribly bad and the only people you will see in there have 17 feral children but only one tooth.

yeah this is one of my main hobbies and second youtube channel.
I also use fabric softener on every single wash I do, even towels! Hasn't killed any washing machine I've used yet.

Whilst I've never had a discussion with any of my friends about trans issues (it's just not on our radar) it is a very real topic out in the world. Investment in Pride is down this year again, with Trans being one of the main reasons. Pride had good backing until trans obfuscated the topic. Being fine with other people doing what they want is one thing, but ignoring biological facts and asking 45 year old bald blokes if they might be pregnant riles up most normal people.
So whilst the real world isn't obsessed with Trans issues, the issues are definitely having big knock on effects.

Not sure if sunshine has been mentioned but a lot of MNetters appear to prefer bloody snuggling under a blanket with a fucking hot chocolate when it's cold and rainy and are quick to complain about the unbearable heat when the thermometer reaches 19°.
Whereas most people in real life enjoy summer dresses, days on the beach, lazy drinks in pub gardens and everything else that happens when the sun finally appears!
Don't get me started on puddle suits either

A sister is a bit more than 'someone you know'.

My ears would definitely prick up if I heard someone had married her sister's ex and my nosy self would wonder if he was a three year relationship kinda ex or a three dates ex, and what the sister's opinion was.

I honestly can't think of one person who thinks hogging the middle lane is anything but a pain in the ass, and I have heard plenty of drivers complaining about the car not moving out of the way.

Letting a family member least of all your mother in law - come and cuddle baby when you arrive home or in fact anytime before they can sit up unaided lest you spoil your new born ‘bubble’ .. and then get really cross with grandparents who aren’t at beck and call for childcare when it suits you.

I heard more people who find their MIL horrific in real life than I have heard ones saying they really liked theirs 😂

I am not sure it's a MN thing, it sounds at least 50/50 both online and in real life.

And most of my friends specifically did not want to be invaded by visitors when they came home with their baby - preferring other friends like me, but most certainly not family. It's a thing in real life I am afraid!
