Does anybody else dislike Pride?

Black history month. Women's history month. Gypsy / Roma month. Disability Pride month. South Asian Heritage month.

Not all males who identify as lesbians have a beard. Not all males who identify as women identify as lesbians.

But some due and it's not hysteria or hyperbolic to say so.

Have you heard of the overcoming cotton ceiling workshops run by Morgan Page? This is where men who identify as lesbians were taught how to break down the sexual boundaries of lesbians.

Where I live Pride gets a whole month.

When my kids were small we happened to be in town when our Pride march was on and we happily watched and waved. Not sure I'd be as keen now, because it's not the same. I'm not into sex shaming but I do believe fetishes should be private. Nor am I impressed by the accounts of some lesbians and gay men who no longer feel welcome at Pride.

I also can't be doing with the 'if you don't like it don't look' crap. Having been flashed as I child can attest you don't always get the bloody choice.

People aren’t scared to share female spaces with trans people.

Women don’t want to share their single sex spaces with men, even if a man identifies as a woman.

If you ask yourself why we sometimes, not very often, segregate spaces into female and male it has to be for good reason. Those reasons are due to sex not how they feel.

Men remain male, even if they wear a dress, prosthetic breast and make up and as segregated single sex spaces are reliant on sex differences, men should never be in woman’s spaces if those spaces are single sex. Ever.

Cant stand Pride.

It's an absolute circus drenched in "kink" and imo has contributed to the resurfacing of the good old "gays are degenerates" brand of homophobia.

The LGB marched for equality and to be unremarkable, normal, and a part of society that you no longer needed to bat an eye at.

Now we've got cross dressing porn addled incels combined with men nursing semis in front of children while wearing leather masks in "puppy pens" and lesbians being physically removed for rejecting penises combined with a load of spicy straights who think that they're the voices of the "queer community" just because theyve dyed their hair blue and have "identified" their way out of heterosexuality.

Perhaps we can start to be linked with being really boring members of society who go to work, pay taxes, walk the dog, go to the supermarket, and spend time with our same sex partners without being an utter spectacle again.

But I'm not saying ONLY bots are concerned, real people become concerned when they are bombarded with propaganda and the propaganda is frightening! Comparing trans women to male rapists makes people frightened about sharing female spaces. Most people rarely even interact with trans people yet some will consider it a bigger issue than the NHS, there has been a massive push to make trans people vilified for political leverage.

Same has happened with immigration and barely any real media analysis that immigration has increased because of Brexit yet the architects of Brexit are still benefitting from the leverage of this issue. God forbid we have a real discussion about foreign policy rather than "stop the boats" rhetoric.

So why bring bots up? Concerns about males displaying fetishes in public seem organic to me.

The same bot-insistent poster on the Trump thread, after his re-election, was insistent that most people had argued with an online bot at some stage. Which was intriguing to me, given my social media at the time consisted of Reddit cricket, work WhatsApp and Mumsnet.

Nobody is inferring that "only bots" can be concerned about the highlighted issues. The suspicion comes from the leveraging of contentious issues by data gatherers with their own agendas and helping obfuscate the genuine grass roots issues that people are genuinely concerned about.

I remember a similar poster, maybe the same one, 🤷‍♀️, insisting that “it was the bots that done it” when Trump was re-elected. Some shifts in cultural perspective are just organic.

Mumsnet has been one of the first forums to introduce women to the dangers of trans ideology and of the wider dangers of male fetishy behaviour , hence this thread. No one cares about homosexuality but the gimps, furries, AGP males are unnecessary.

This has been an organic movement, raised from genuine concerns of women (and some men). Some of us have watched the progression of this from back when we couldnt call men, men, without getting deleted and reported.

This infographic has been debunked as manipulating the stats- the trans women's rate is taken from the prison population, whereas the men and women's rate is taken from the general population.

People sharing stuff like this on forums like it's fact without doing due diligence is exactly why bigotry spreads as quickly as it does. People see something like this, apply no critical thinking, and hit repost to get everyone else in their bubble frothed up too.
