I'm surprised she even did a documentary - I haven't watched it yet but I will.

When you go to her concerts, she never talks about herself. Interaction with the audience is very limited compared to other stars.

I would imagine she wants to keep all of that private, any philanthropy or whatever is something she will be like George Michael about

And I don't blame her. If the press get hold of anything at all they will find a way to criticise it

But in general, if you put it out there in public, there is a lot of crazy. It's essentially a form of "don't cast your pearls before swine".

I don't think she wants to handover depth and a sense of who she is. I wouldn't want anybody to know who I was if I was that famous either.

I think it's incredibly shortsighted to assume that there is nothing more to a person because they don't want to share that kind of information.

thankfully, she didn't become famous in an era where it was expected that you would comment on political things, or that you would put pictures of yourself going out for dinner on Instagram.

i'm happy either way. I think it's great that someone like Sarah Jessica Parker wants to talk about their other endeavours online.

But I also think it's fine if people want to be private. Certainly, if I'd ever been famous, I'm sure I'd want to be private.

I watched it and felt that she came over as a really lightweight person, simply lacking in any depth. She said pop music was her life and I think her personality matches pop - shallow, all for 3 minutes of show, no substance.

She came over as a huge people pleaser and that she really wanted to be portrayed as a nice person, it's all about the exterior because there isn't much in the interior.

I think I also wanted to see what else she was interested in and what she did with her huge wealth. For example, is she passionate about art or collecting or interior design or gardening or setting up charitable trusts to fund music teaching? That would have given more depth and sense of who she is.

But perhaps she really is as bland and boring as she appears.

The press were horrible about everyone in the 1990s - particularly women. I think too that if you are a public figure you have to keep part of yourself private for your own sanity, if nothing else. If you live every part of your life in public I think that speaks of mental health and self-worth issues, and Kylie strikes me as someone who has retained her sense of self, whose normal family have kept her grounded and whose protection of her privacy is entirely sensible and understandable. Think for a moment of all the people who tell the journalists everything .... not good right? They seem needy and mentally unwell.

I feel a bit sorry for Jason Donovan.
He was the ultimate blonde boy next door.
But MH was a total sex god, I mean…

Loved the documentary, I’ve heard Jason is not a nice man, and I think he drank and took drugs due to being quite bitter that he did not get the success that he thought he should. Also don’t think she even got over Micheal .

I enjoyed it , I think because of the hard time she got in the press in the past it's hard for her to express herself, jason was very bitter. She looks amazing I remember when the press was trying to say danni and her didn't get on and there was jealousy between them . You can see how much they love each other. Kylie looks fantastic I was sad to hear she had cancer again but happy she was allowed the privacy the second time around to get through it on her own. I really wanted to slap cat deeley when she was asking her about kids , you could see how devastated kylie was to not be able to have kids

Performers are often lacking in their own personality and character. I hesitate to say ‘ vacuous’ but in truth lots of performers are Exactly that. It’s all for show.

The impression I got was that she left him because she was fed up with his drug taking and womanising.

I love Nick Cave but it’s obvious he has the massive horn for Kylie and that’s why he’s so into her

I watched and felt I knew little more about her towards the end than I did at the beginning. But she was horribly used by Pete Waterman and I liked how she stood up for herself.

Jason Donovan was clearly still very bitter about their split, but Kylie lit up while talking about Michael H. He was clearly the love of her life, the one that got away.

I’m 54 and when I was younger apart from the I Should Be So Lucky song I didn’t much like her songs, do like them a bit later. I recall when it was rumoured she’d had a boob job, we all thought yes. I admire her career, she’s done very well though. Just a bit boring to me.

Really enjoyed the documentary but it looks like i'm in the minority as I really felt for Jason...at the end of the day, it sounds like Kylie cheated on him with MH whilst he was in the same room! ("they disappeared into the bathroom") and given the fact that he believed she was the woman he was going to marry and settle down with, he must have been devastated. You can see how bitter and emotional he is, even all these years later...sad. I was just watching and imagining the outrage if it had been the other way around and Jason had gone into a bathroom with another woman!!!

Perhaps it’s a hangover from her relentless trashing in the press, when she was only a teenager. I look at my girls (19 and 21) and wonder how she survived! The Australian media really tore her apart for a while. I guess you’d be super cautious of showing too much of yourself after experiencing that.

Jason comes across as kind of bitter. It’s hardly unusual for teen romances to end once you hit your early 20’s. Kylie and Michael made the most gorgeous couple.

I’m not a fan of her music, really. We are the same age….I was more of a INXS/Midnight Oil/Cold Chisel girl. But I really do admire her tenacity in the face of such vitriol. And I’m sad she didn’t get to experience motherhood.

I really like her but I think maybe she is just very guarded.

She doesn’t come from a showbiz family - my cousin was her boyfriend at high school. They were just a ‘normal’ family.

Jason Donovan got choked up talking about her leaving him didn’t he? I wasn’t very impressed by him though - he seemed a bit nasty.

The star of the show from this series, for me, is Nick Cave. He's hilarious and I think seems very kind. I would love to have him as a pal.
