I'll admit it doesn't actually surprise me ... he was fully counting on you paying a RIDICULOUSLY inflated sum to live there which was a HUGE indicator he couldn't actually afford the property and to live the lavish lifestyle he wanted you to subsidize without you.

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't still have a teeny hope that you'll want to run back to him and partially finance his 'salt water dreams' if he thinks you'll be apprised of them. And whether or not he'll put about plans of buying another mansion, this time by the sea, in hopes of 'tempting you'.

What I want to know is if he's specifically mentioned your preferred bit of the UK coastline as his future home.

He's got a hard sell to find a woman who would contemplate being a carer for his parents as an attractive bet.

That’s happened to me with two exes. They had the same dreams that I had after they’d been dumped, and not during our relationship. Someone should study that.

I'd also suggest him posting this on social media knowing ops son is connected to him on there may be an attempt to get this information back to op to make her feel jealous or consider getting back with him.

According to DS (who didn’t realise he was connected to him on SM-until he saw a reel) ex is off to live by the sea when the property sells.

Massive newsflash- that was and is still MY dream which he absolutely poo-pooed many a time when I mentioned my retirement dreams and hopes when I was with him.
