AIBU to think my colleague is lying about having two dogs?

I work with a work colleague on a one to one basis however I think she’s lied to me about having 2 dogs (she does have 1) as well as to various other work colleagues.

I am starting to worry about quite a lot of MN posters. A large number of them take the time to post concerns, but they are then never seen again. Have they been abducted by aliens? Sad times 🥲

Well how very dare she! Get on that phone and call Johnny Law right now! This is really serious now! She might also of hoodwinked another poor innocent person in this awful web of lies and deceiving behaviour. Quite frankly I believe in my heart and soul that this is the WORST thing to have ever been said in all the world and will stay with us in this life and the next. Our kids WILL learn about this in their history classes! May God have mercy on us all!

A neighbour knocked on our door the other day, complaining our dog keeps chasing him on his bike. I said that's impossible...he doesn't even have a bike....

If she has a hyperactive dog, and it races around a lot from room to room, I can believe that she thinks that she does have two dogs.

@ThiswasamistakeDr you could be right about Barbara. She borrowed my lawnmower 8 months ago and I still havn’t got it back. I now realise it must be related to Tony two dogs. She’s certainly pulled the wool over my eyes.

Point of order; Cerberus (the mutant dog that guards the gates of hell in Greek mythology), in fact had three heads. So we don't need to worry about the OP's work colleague that she works with owning one of those. Unless the devious cow has disguised the middle head as a manky football that the other two heads are fighting over. We should be told.

...and if anybody fancies going down a mythology-related multi-headed pet rabbit hole, just google Janus cats.

Maybe OP's colleague got drunk on Turner and Pooch, and was seeing double. Now she thinks she has two dogs but one just hides a lot.

She’s obviously lying about having two dogs. My guess is she has 5. It wouldn’t surprise me if she has goats and sheep too. Dogs are a gateway pet. I’d report her to your local council, they take this sort of thing very seriously. In your shoes I’d be very concerned. My old neighbour Tony (not real name) once lied about having two dogs. Me and Barbara (not real name but lives next door but one) are still dealing with the fallout and it happened 8 years ago 😳
