Anyway I think the reason people are taking the piss op is that you dislike the site so much but have made a point of announcing your departure…for what purpose?

Slightly hoping I might strike a chord with some of the regulars (you know who you are) who are so full of self righteousness, believe they know absolutely everything and have to have the last word. Some of these posters will argue about when your next cycle is. They just love to argue.

No one cares or will notice. However I think if you start a thread the least you should do is state which boards or threads or issues specifically are a problem and why.

I don’t see what’s wrong with saying that you’re finding MN so negative that you’re leaving but it always gets the same smart Alec predictable responses. It’s a mix between amusing and downright nasty on here but very addictive. I wouldn’t ask for real advice or support on here but occasionally I’m surprised and see a very supportive thread.

I do agree it has changed since the Facebook crossover, and all the ‘man here’ boreathons, cool girls and AI slop aren’t helping.

I've deleted my account a few times because MN was affecting me negatively. But it's so addictive. And the good points definitely outweigh the bad.

This site is genuinely mad. The way some of you act, you definitely put those facebook posts up “To the person in the pink ford who beeped at me!! I put my indicator on before I pulled in front of you!! I have your reg and I will report you if you don’t send me a private message apologising. No but genuinely, this site is bad for my mental health. I left for a few months and I felt happier and calmer. Started coming back and instantly felt negative and stressed. There's always someone complaining that everything is awful 🥱
