New bf cat sit down- would this annoy you?

I’ve met a nice bloke. But he’s one of those people that can’t chill even for 5 mins: he’s always walking to get a coffee, picking the paper. The secondary I am out of something he has his coat and shoes on. It just really unsettles me as mad as that sounds. I am grateful he is wanting to get things in for me. But he’s in and out the house at least 5x a day.

I was concerned someone was breastfeeding a cat.

I can imagine someone somewhere has! When I got my 2 sibling cats they were 14 weeks old and the male kept suckling the female. He grew out of it after a while but DH swears the cat tried to suckle his nose.

Have you tried bribing him with Dreamies?

🤣🤣🤣

My cat sits on everything and refuses to move as well.
I took my glasses off earlier and put them down, Salem lay on them and ignored me and pretended I wasn’t there when I wanted to get them.

We all know a typical cattitude is “Where I fits, I sits”

Where’s the cat?

My son is kinda like this. He can’t sit still. We’re on holiday visiting family and he’s taken over the dog walking, then goes for a jog, anyone even thinks of making a cup of tea he’s on it…he positively vibrates with energy. It’s exhausting!

Would he like to bottle some & sell it to me??

also here for the cat chat!

he'd have to go, he'd make me feel awfully lazy!

Edited

Sounds like she needs a boyfriend flap so he can come and go without disturbing her...

@Preert , you need to pay the cat tax. Smile

MacchiatoMavis · 31/03/2026 17:15

I thought he'd sat on the cat and I kind of wanted to know how that turned out.

Disappointed.

StationJack · 31/03/2026 17:14

The cat is not sitting down to breastfeed her kittens. They usually lie down.

Also here for the cat.
Was wondering if it was best friend's cat or boyfriend's cat.

Either way, I was Team Cat.

StationJack · 31/03/2026 17:11

What about the cat? 🐈

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 31/03/2026 17:09

So what has this got to do with his cat?

NewDogOwner · 31/03/2026 17:09

Also here for the cat.

WormHoleInSpace · 31/03/2026 17:09

Another one here to see why the cat sat.
I think @Preert should get a cat and train it ( yeah right ) to sit on the bf so he can't get up.
All people that are owned by a cat knows this is cat law

To be honest OP my boyfriends cat is also a bit annoying- sometimes even brings mice in and runs around - I feel you!

Greyblankie · 31/03/2026 16:59

I assumed it would be the cat that was being unreasonable ….

As it turns out there is no cat then YANBU, that would irritate me too

anon4net · 31/03/2026 16:57

I'd already decided the cat was being wholly reasonable!! Wink

@Preert some people are just like that. Maybe need more activities, have more restless energy. I have family members like this.

p.s. Are you sure there's nothing you could add about an AIBU feline? Anyone??
