It's always because of Trump or JKR, isn't it with you sex deniers? Nobody else with any relevant interest in it at all, apparently.

My niece is a middle distance athlete. She wrote a dissertation on the issue for her EPQ (got the A* in it) and has written at length about it through her science degrees. She knows full well how much faster even mediocre men can run than she can.

You see, the statistics tell the story - no amount of "ooh, but you should be KIND to the trans-identifying men" will change the plain fact that we play sport and compete with our sexed bodies, not our imaginations.

I know right. All these years and years - decades and decades - of women fighting to be heard, to be respected, to have the vote, to be able to have financial independence, to be able to have a job, to be recognised at work, to be thought of as a human being with rights; and it's nigh on gone to shit in less than a decade because of TRAs. Even actresses are ACTORS now. Just take away everything about women. Let's just call us all non-men like The Green party want.

I wish someone had told me recognising sex in humans was a central tenet of far right ideology sooner. I'd have done better in my Politics A level. Especially if they'd also told me it was far right to cave to pressure from objective fact. Would have given me grounds to name my own grade.

we should let children have any toys, hobbies, haircuts and clothes they like. We let them go through a normal puberty and make no issue if they are same sex attracted. That would resolve 90% of cases.

Nope. Women aren't support humans for unhappy men.
Women fought hard for access to certain sports and shouldn't have to hand them over to mediocre male sportsmen cheating their way into women's sport.
Nor should women and girls be required to undress in changing rooms etc to satisfy the demands of men. Women are over 50% of the population and the law is clear - we're entitled to privacy, dignity and safety from them.

Anyway - back to your subject. I hope by now all the parents on here have given you an insight into how abusive it is to pretend to little children that they're the opposite sex.

Would love to be a fly on the wall when he reaches puberty and his biological body takes over. When he realises what his penis is for and how much fun he can have with it he may well be horrified that his parents mislead him. My son would disown us if we had been so coercive.
He was pretty upset that we didn’t encourage him to learn to ride a bike. At the time he had been diagnosed with a childhood form of epilepsy and along with rock climbing was on the prohibited list of activities. I can’t imagine his reaction if we’d convinced him he was a girl.

You certainly do them no favours if the answer is to just agree with them, affirm and over time, organise for them to take life-altering drugs and have irreversible surgeries.
