Anti valuers are dumb and pathetic

Anti-vaxxers shouldn’t even consider having children until they develop a basic sense of responsibility.

I’m beyond frustrated hearing about measles outbreaks again and again. I fully understand that some parents genuinely cannot vaccinate their children using live vaccines due to legitimate medical conditions that weaken the immune system, but outside of those rare cases, there is no excuse apart from being totally and utterly DUMB and people that are do dumb and irresponsible should not be reproducing..

Yes, I recall having to lie in a darkened room when I had measles (for fear that my eyesight would be affected).

I missed mumps and German measles somehow, but did have a bad case of Chickenpox. I had shingles twice later on. I've had my first dose of the shingles vaccine this year.

My SGD got her first MMR but apparently her parents failed to organise the required second dose when they moved abroad for seven years.

The result was that SGD got mumps when it hit her university campus.

Me too! The curtains were kept drawn all the time when I had measles and the only light was from a table lamp that had a coloured bulb in it.

I was wondering if I should get a shingles vaccine. I've had at least 3 attacks of shingles, but iirc the last one was about 15-20 years ago.

How many years of rigorous testing went into the Covid vaccine before deeming it safe for the public? If you cpukd find that info and pop it over to me, id love to send it to my mum who now has a chronic, life limiting disease that was sparked by this supposed sage vaccine. And before you say it, it has been confirmed that it was the vaccine that did this to her.

Just because it was completed in record time, it doesn't mean it wasn't safe. The research process takes a long time because of all the red tape and admin delays. COVID had significant financial backing, which reduced delays. The different phases of the trial were conducted alongside each other, which sped up the process. Data was reviewed as it was being collected, rather than at the end of the process. And there was a lot of information due to how rapidly the virus spread. Finally, it built off of existing knowledge and previous research around things like mRNA vaccines.

I am sorry to hear about your mum, truly. But it still does not mean the vaccine wasn't tested safely, and it remains safe for the majority of people, or we would not be using it. Vaccinations save lives through reducing severity and preventing spread. That is scientific fact. Anecdotal information does not change that.

As I said, there will always be people who have adverse responses to medications/vaccines. Some of those may be serious. Outside of the obvious (such as pregnant women, and the immunocompromised) this can't really be predicted. Vaccines are safe for most people.

Namechangenoidea · 19/03/2026 16:16

Completely agree I hate anti Vaxxers. What makes them think they are cleverer than the majority of the population including doctors and scientists it’s baffling.

They are causing measles to come back and they’ve put my 4 month old at risk as he’s too young to be vaccinated. They’re pathetic. We could have eradicated measles by now if everyone was vaccinated instead people are dying because of them. They are basically murderers.

Swiftie1878 · 19/03/2026 15:27

The Covid ‘vaccine’ was and is NOT a vaccine. It doesn’t stop you getting Covid, it just reduces the strength of the symptoms.

It should never have been referred to as a vaccine.

Many vaccines don’t prevent you from getting the illness eg flu vaccine. Even the measles jab isn’t 100%

Vaccines prime the immune system to recognise the illness and respond more quickly and effectively. Just because they don’t prevent illness, it doesn’t make it incorrect to call them vaccines.

The Covid vaccines were about reducing the chances or serious illness and death, which seems extremely worthwhile to me. They saved many lives.

Elliania · 19/03/2026 16:02

I get so angry. When I was little my family GP recommended I didn't have the whooping cough vaccine as there were concerns at that time of a link between whooping cough and epilepsy. Thankfully this has now been fully debunked but as I have several relatives who either have epilepsy or other adjacent conditions it was decided not to risk it.
That meant I was completely reliant on the immunity of other people in order to be protected.

Oh, and my parents were certainly not anti-vaxxers, I had all my other vaccines at the correct times.

ThatHappyBlueCritic · 19/03/2026 15:55

worldshottestmom · 19/03/2026 13:12

The irony. Just because you dont get charged for vaccinations doesnt mean the NHS doesnt. This is what all those 'weirdo' 'stupid' 'DUMB' anti-vaxxers mean when they refer to 'big pharma'. The NHS spends hundreds of millions annually on the procurement of vaccinations alone. Acting as if all medical guidance is done in the name of good will and good intentions is incredible naive. Everything is about money.

Im not speaking against vaccinations, but who the hell are you to go off on an abusive rant about people who choose not to vaccinate their children? Dictating they shouldn't be allowed to procreate if theyre not willing to do it? Are you insane? Could you imagine if there was a law dictating who can and cant have kids based on vaccination views. Insanity.

Also worth noting that all of the research that you put all your faith into is done whilst working within a paradigm, and funded by the companies selling the vaccinations. One to consider when thinking about the cherry-picking of data and published results, as well as any exaggeration of correlation coefficients showing the efficiency of such medicines.

"My body my choice" always goes out the window real quick when vaccinations are mentioned, huh.

And before you attack me with the mindless "hEhE StUpId AnTiVaXxEr' im not against vaccinations. What I am against is blindly believing the research of a company trying to make a profit, just because they wear lab coats and goggles. What I am against is insulting other people for their personal choices about their and their children's bodies. Look after yourself and your family. There are many reasons why people decide against vaccinations, and it has not a thing to do with you.

You do know that there are regulatory inspections and audits done on the research to ensure it is effective? Big pharma isn’t out to get your money, but it costs a heck of a lot to create a drug and then take it through clinical trials. I am not saying they don’t make a lot of money, but implying the research is done unethically is inaccurate.

More bullshit

A vaccine trains your immune system to recognise a pathogen, which significantly reduces the chances your risk of illness if you're exposed later.

The covid vaccines are vaccines

Will we ever find out?

Whoever They are, They're as evil as all the Marvel, DC and Bond villains put together. They are very, very bad Indeed. They need to watch more Netflix and play some ping-pong.

Also, it seems as though conspiracy addicts automatically think everything MSM says is lies while believing what any old lunatic spouts on "dark" forums without question.

WAKE UP!!! indeed 🙄

It's all part of Project Fear. It lowers your vibrations. And keeping us all in low vibration is how "they" control us. Whilst also mocking us by setting up events that only ever happen on dates where if you add the numbers together you get 666. It's really quite diverting how bonkers this stuff is and how utterly seriously people take it.

TightlyLacedCorset · 19/03/2026 15:40

Frequency · 19/03/2026 15:15

Same.

If a "fact" is backed up by "they"/mainstream media won't tell you/don't want you to know, I automatically file it in my bullshit drawer. It's not even worth looking into.

Off topic, but who is "they"? Does anyone know? And why do "they" want us to be sick, poor, and uneducated?

The corporate and state media who are given incentives to feed you information that serves their interests with the aim of generating compliance with narratives and objectives which induce you to feel and behave in ways that align with their interests and ensure they do not face scrutiny. Often through soft peddling or blatantly ignoring stories that go against the prevailing sentiment.

See 'Weapons of mass destruction' and 'America was at imminent risk of being attacked by Iran'

There's a balance. It is true that the mainstream media do indeed frame stories in ways that serve other agendas.

It is also true that alternative media can lack the rigour and fact checking in some contexts that MSM do.

I definitely think everyone should be consuming both if they wish to be well informed. A wise person goes to several sources and does not rely on one.

I am not anti-vacination, but I am passionately pro-parental choice when it comes to the decision to vaccinate. In no way should parents be forced to vaccinate their children, neither should people be coerced by withdrawal of vitally important services into doing getting vaxxed themselves, as was tried during the pandemic.

People making stupid choices and having to suffer as a result of being part of the group is the downside of democracy and autonomy. Take voting. If for e.g. people decide to vote for a party that has nasty discriminatory policies that cause significant even lethal harm to some in the population it's horrible, but that is the price of democracy and autonomy. Very Unfortunately.

LoveHearts69 · 19/03/2026 15:38

I don’t know, I can’t find it in me to be angry at anyone, I feel that everyone is genuinely believing they’re doing their best with the information they have.

My children are fully vaccinated as I had a relative who had polio so have seen the first hand impact of that, however while I believe the vaccines do keep these awful diseases away, I’m also not naive enough to think that every component of those vaccines isn’t harmful to us, who’s to say they don’t increase the risk of other diseases later in life? Pharmaceuticals is a big big business controlled by billionaires. With the rise of Trump and how corrupt the western world is showing itself to be recently, I do understand why people may be wary of blindly trusting them.

Weeelokthen · 19/03/2026 15:35

CheesyToes · 19/03/2026 14:09

Why does it bother you? If you/your child are vaccinated you’re protected. Those that are ‘anti-vax’ as you put it are mostly vaccine injured people or have a child/family member who has been damaged by vaccines. I think you need to pull your head out your arse and actually take some time to listen to these people.

Well it bothers me that babies who are too young for vaccines are put at risk of death because of anti vaxxers.

I'm not an anti vaccine myself but do think folk should retain the right to refuse to have their children vaccinated. 🫢

And if this means that the vaccination rate drops by 10%, then 20%..

What do you think the outcome will be?

What always annoys me is the belief that the Covid 19 ‘came out of nowhere’ and so can’t be trusted. No it didn’t, it came from years and years of research in to SARS and other viral vector vaccines.
Think of it like the flu vaccine offered each year, they don’t create that from scratch but built from existing vaccines.
Scientists around the world were also given unlimited funding which made a huge difference in the timescales and worked together to share information. It was an amazing achievement.

It's absolutely ridiculous. It takes rigorous testing to get a drug/vaccine to the point where it becomes publicly available. Experts in their fields spend years making sure these things are safe. The results need to be replicable and valid. Lots of the people involved will have PhDs, or years of experience. But no, Bob obviously knows better because he spent a day looking at non mainstream resources because scientists and Big Pharma are evil and their data can't be trusted.

There will always be some people who come to harm due to vaccination, in the same way that anybody could have a poor reaction to literally drug in the BNF. It doesn't mean vaccines aren't safe for the vast majority of people.

I'm not an anti vaxxer but my dad was almost killed by MSD on one of their VIOXX 'trials' (a few months before it was withdrawn). Many many thousands of people were killed by that drug and they knew what was happening...the reps were trained in how to deflect questions. My dad was the first person to take them to court and he actually won but there was only a small article in the Telegraph and most people couldn't afford to take them to court. He had legal cover with his home insurance and somehow his solicitor got some extra funding from somewhere.

So yes Pharmaceutical companies can be pretty evil. They do a lot of good too but their primary aim is profit.

Clearly, you've never lost a child due to the worst vaccination side effect, i.e. death.

Your post is repulsive and highly ignorant.

No, but I almost lost my toddler to measles which the hospital assured me was due to not enough people vaccinating in the local area.

I find your post repulsive and ignorant.

A quick Google suggest mandatory Smallpox vaccination ceased in 1948 when the NHS took over responsibility for childhood vaccination and the pertinent legislation was repealed, but vaccination as a matter of course continued until 1971 whereupon it ceased due to irrelevance.

This shows that yet again, there are precedents for the State taking the choice out of the hands of Guardians. As much as I'm not always in favour of State interference in private lives or medical choices, sometimes there are situations where the State has to step in and protect citizens from their own stupidity.

Thank you. I remember seeing so many people with large scars
