Carol Vorderman has culled her lovers from five down to three.

Carol Vorderman has had to slash the number of lovers she has down from five to three, admitting: “Times are hard.”
She now only has a trio of three long-term “special” male friends on the go after previously enjoying the attention of five.
The maths whiz has always been open about loving her friends with benefits.

So...
Is it reasonable for a woman of a certain age to have multiple lovers....not to mention the energy.

Is it unreasonable, immoral, and just plain tacky?

I do have some sympathy for her. It's exhausting having to be attractive all the time (I'm shattered 😂), but to also be having to be seen to be sexually active might feel a bit cheap.

She's very intelligent and hardworking, she doesn't need all this.

Perhaps her agent advises her to put these statements out.

Whatever she's doing, I hope she's happy and safe.

I doubt anyone would give it a second thought whether she was 'sexually active' or not if she didn't keep talking about it.

Carol Vordemann's sex life is irrelevant, boring and does me no harm, so I don't care about it. On the other hand, people using phrases like "immoral", "tacky", "slutty", "cheap" etc. to describe a woman who is doing nothing illegal and hurting nobody is misogynistic, and I'm entitled to be critical of misogyny anywhere I find it.

And my advice still stands; just try not caring about other people having sex, unless it directly affects you. It's liberating to realise how little it has to do with you.

I think her behaviour is tacky, and the fact she needs to keep talking about it tackier.
The other words I have used to describe both women AND men, so I'm afraid the misogynistic title doesn't work.

Once more I will say it....when a man in the public eye chooses to keep banging on about how many females he has on the go....I will have the same opinion.
I also know for a fact that some of the women who are cheering Carol on will be pearl clutching and calling him all the bastards under the sun.

I use 'cheap' to describe how she may feel about herself. As pointed out, it's a sympathetic perspective.

How can it be a loaded phrase if that's exactly what is being done?
Like it or not, society still sees women who sleep around in a different light to men who do.
And yes, I would use that phrase for both men and women.

People can only live by their own standards...would I or have I ever had multiple lovers at the same time...No.
Would I entertain the thought of being with a man who had other lovers...No.

She used to seem quite the opposite of the femme fatale she likes to be seen as now, when she started on TV's Countdown.

Yes, imo the change isn't entirely positive. She used to talk about learning to fly and her plans to fly around the world. Now she's in the news for posing nude and boasting about lovers. It's odd. She's entitled to have them but the bragging is tacky whether you're male or female.

It's very tawdry, but I am not surprised the thread has gone on.
It's unusual for a female celebrity to
boast about multiple men she regularly has sex with.
Most either don't, or if they do, they tend not to broadcast it.

I'm around her age. I don't care who she sleeps with, her business, but talking publically about it in this way is attention seeking and tacky.

I'd say the same if she were 25.

I agree. Talking amongst your female friends I could accept, announcing it publicly is tacky.
However, maybe it could reassure other women in their 60's that it's OK to sleep with as many men as they like. I do believe there is still a stigma attached to women who sleep around, but I doubt that's the reason she is talking so openly.

I really couldn’t care less how many people someone (male or female) is sleeping with, as long as they’re all consenting adults and nobody thinks they’re in an exclusive set-up.
