That's quite a leap, assuming everyone who supports Israel more than Hamas are pro killing children and babies. Are there any military actions you support? Because the vast majority have atrocities of some kind attached to them - that's what happens in war unfortunately.

You're making the leap. I was responding to posts saying it was ok to kills children because it was retaliation for October 7th when Hamas killed Israeli children an eye for an eye style.

I don'[t think revenge is acceptable reason. You may disagree, as your inclusion of killing babies and children as a "military action" would suggest.

InterIgnis · 04/03/2026 13:13

Information about this is very limited. It has not been verified who bombed the school. Could it have been Israel and the U.S? Yes. It seems unlikely that they would deliberately target a school with the most objective of killing school children, when it is not in their interests to alienate the very people that are welcoming military action against the regime. That said, it is not impossible. Time will tell.

The IRGC would absolutely strike against their own civilians for PR purposes. It’s straight out of their own playbook, actually.

There are also reports that they are deliberately using schools and hospital as bases, the civilians within them being useful human shields.

Iran holds press conference at school as concerns grow over use of civilian sites

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson held a televised press conference on Tuesday from a Tehran classroom that state-linked media said had been damaged in recent strikes, as questions persist over the authorities’ use of civilian sites during wartime.

Ah the BBC
That good old bastion of the truth 😬

Has the video been cut short? I can't even make out what happened, looks like one figure disappeared round the corner? Was that the boy being shot and falling? And if so, it cuts as soon as that happened so how do we know they just stood around afterwards and watched?

Dragonflytamer · 04/03/2026 12:55

There just no point talking to people who are pro the killing of babies and children. Nothing justifies it. If you think bombing a school is acceptable there is just no way we would be talk in real life.

Hahaha, ohhh I'm totally pro the killing of babies and children. I need to stock up on their blood to bake matzot soon!!
Israel also has the biggest skin bank in the world too!

I don't know we could ask the parents of the 14 year old boy that Israeli soldiers stood over and watched bleed to death just last week?

Who knows why anyone would want to watch children suffer and die but clearly some people do.

No one here is “pro the killing of babies and children”.
But it’s so easy to throw random insults and ridiculous accusations at people, isn’t it?

So October 7 was just a "terrorist incident" but the israeli response was definitely "genocide". That's quite the gaslighting

Very few countries are not evil or have not committed atrocities.

I dont see why that is a childish classification, its just fact.

If everyone is evil, no one is evil as the classification has no meaning since it's applied to everyone. That's why it's childish.

Well, yes, exactly my point. Israel and the US are no different to other countries. Especially bearing in mind that israel has been under existentially threat since its founding

sabababa · 04/03/2026 12:40

TheIceBear · 04/03/2026 12:33

I do condemn them. I don’t agree with October 7th I think it’s absolutely disgusting and I don’t support hamas. But Israel went overboard with retaliation over it and are honestly just as bad . You seem to think everyone has to be exactly on one side or another. Nope .

You'd be surprised to know that I also think the October 7 response was disproportionate. I understand where it came from, I understand why israel had to respond but I also saw a lot of disregard for the civilian population and avoidable deaths . Thats not ok.

But also remember who funded Hamas and caused October 7. Who funds Hezbollah

And while I have issue with how israel deal with the Palestinian conflict, they are 100% right about Iran. The two conflicts might be connected but they are different and Iran is the source of the instability in the region.

Just because you don't like what happened in Gaza, doesn't make israel the bad guy here.

So the UK is also evil? As is France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Russia, China, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Congo, Syria, Iraq, Indonesia, Cameroon, Morocco, Sudan, South Sudan etc etc

Might be easier perhaps to say which countries aren't evil in your childish classification?

It's shocking that the only response you can think of to a terrorist incident is genocide.

My answer is unequivocally yes.

Pakistan Cambodia etc absolutely evil.

More than one thing can be true at the same time.

I don’t understand how Israel can have such excellent intel on the whereabouts of various high-ups in hamas, hezbolla, Iran but unable to have advance warning of nor spot a load of pickups and motorcycles coming through their fence. Those events were tragic, and /but look where they have lead the world; Bibi’s wet dream. Call me a conspiracy theorist

They had the intel. They didnt interpret it correctly, they were sure they knew what hamas was doing.

Same thing that happened in 1973.

You underestimate arrogance fuelled incompetence

When Pakistan attacked east pakistan (now Bangladesh) 500’000 people died, between 170-200 thousand abortions took place, between 300-400 thousand women were raped. I believe something like 30’000 women committed suicide as a result of their rape and torture,

The idea that the USA or Israel are uniquely evil is a nonsense. By this measure would we not say Pakistan is an evil state?

What about Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge killed 40% of it’s own population. What about Iran, it literally killed 35’000 plus in a few days. It helped to murder something like 500’000 people in syria.

As I said, people have blindspot they try to shove their ideology into.

You might have a point if this was an isolated incident but it's not. Israel have been show to systematically use sexual, reproductive and other forms of gender-based against women and girls. They are the world's most profuse child killers. There is no getting away from that but Iran are bad too isn't a defence. The Israeli regime is responsible for disgusting crimes. The Iranian regime is responsible for disgusting crimes. I am defending neither and I don't think anyone else should either.

www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2025/03/more-human-can-bear-israels-systematic-use-sexual-reproductive-and-other

Ok so I don’t know about the “standard operating practice stuff”. It should be investigated and exposed, no woman should be subject to sexual or other types of violence.

Not having access to a hospital because you are in a war zone is very common. The sudanese, ukrainians etc etc do not have access to high quality healthcare because there is a war. This is not unique to Gaza. The argument used here about preventing reproduction is a plank to support a genocide argument. But it’s a nonsense argument.

timeserved · 04/03/2026 12:14

You see I have a good memory and recall very well the massacre of innocents by Hamas (likely funded by Iran) when they stormed over the Israeli border from Gaza slaughtering, raping and kidnapping innocent civilians. Do you remember that?
