I’ve just seen this clip of them at the Brits. How do they think that this looks good? I find it so sad that they both felt the need to do this to their faces, because the perception now is that women aren’t able to age?
This isn’t woman bashing women. People can do what they like, but this is grotesque.

Admittedly I was horrified when I saw them, particularly Kelly. She looks so very ill. I know she’s lost her Dad (I lost mine at the same time) but my goodness she is skeletal. It’s really sad.

I put three stone on when my dad died, how wonderful to know people would have be judging me as a fat sack of crap for letting grief impact my physical appearance. I saw the Brits and my thoughts for Kelly were concern for her as she doesn’t look well, not that she is responsible for how other people feel when they look at her.

Women are rightly worried about the extreme over reliance on plastic surgery and how it is becoming normalised, you won’t shame women into not talking about it.

Kelly is on record as saying she's struggling very badly because of her dad's death. Yes I'm sure she's been on the weight loss injections but the grief won't be helping

Grief doesn’t remove your buccal fat.

She has asked people to stop bashing her many times now, she keeps explaining it’s grief that has done to her yet women keep bashing her. Just stop.

I don’t see people bashing her. Not being able to eat for a sustained period of time is life threatening. And young women and impressionable girls have a tendency to copy.

Whether or not a person becomes mentally ill with weight loss is a genetic lottery. The average member of the public is blissfully unaware of the dangers around weight loss, intake restriction and skipping meals.

I was severely underweight as a teen. I was traumatised, not mentally ill. I refed myself when I relaxed. My dd is unable to do the same as she has inherited genetics presumably from my dh’s side. I basically saved dd’s life because her brain told her food is poison. She was adamant she didn’t need to eat to live. Two years on she still doesn’t really get that she’s ill.

Eating disorders are a mental illness. They should be fully discussed. I cannot say whether or not Kelly Osbourne is mentally ill or if she will naturally start to eat again. It’s been a while now though and she has access to any treatment or therapy she chooses. That she hasn’t engaged or perhaps hasn’t been able to engage, is in itself of concern.

I’m shocked at the pictures of Demi Moore. She looks so emaciated.

Dollymylove · 02/03/2026 07:12

Ive seen many people in the throes of deep grief. None of them looked like that.
Extreme plastic surgery and fat jabs more like

WeepingAngelInTheTardis · 02/03/2026 07:05

Amiacoolorwarmcolour · 02/03/2026 07:03

I don’t like either of them. Ozzy was not a good person either.
I couldn’t care less what they look like.
However, I really detest the constant battle women and girls have to face regarding how they look. You can never be left alone. Too fat, too thin, too grey, too wrinkly, eye lashes not long enough, lips not big enough, hair not thick enough, eyebrows not dark enough, breasts not
big enough, waist not thin enough. It’s never ending.

keepswimming38 · 02/03/2026 07:00

There’s many many people using wli that don’t end up looking like that. It’s a combination of that and surgery. The grief excuse is just what it sounds, an excuse. I don’t know anyone who ended up looking like that through grief alone.

EleanorReally · 02/03/2026 06:56

looking at the pictures, it is her face that is so different.
her arms dont look skeletal

MyNextDoorNeighbourVotesReform · 02/03/2026 06:48

NormasArse · 02/03/2026 02:54

I was shocked- she’s skeletal. That’s not body shaming- it’s concern. Someone destroying their health is a difficult thing to see.

Exactly what I was thinking. Word for word

Lampzade · 02/03/2026 06:40

Shessweetbutapsycho · 02/03/2026 02:44

I can’t help but wonder how Kelly would be describing images such as these whilst she cruelly judged people on their appearance every week on her show Fashion Police…

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking

I don't care for either of them much but I think they should be left alone

They're touting publicity - not 'grieving' in private, out of the public eye.

I agree that grief can do strange things, including weight loss (either from being so overwhelmed that you just.. don't eat, or that it can lead some folk to focus on the things they CAN control such as eating) but this is... something else.

I saw a video of Demi Moore who is also looking similarly gaunt - it's a very worrying trend from those in the public eye, and we're supposed to not comment - whilst at the same time our daughters are seeing the glorification of extreme weight loss and body modification. You can't have it both ways

LivingTheDreamish · 02/03/2026 04:08

Yes it's really shocking. Obviously they are grieving but it's really upsetting to see and I hope Kelly in particular is able to get herself to a better place.

Wildviolet · 02/03/2026 02:15

If nobody comments on such obvious starvation in public figures it normalises it and encourages the sort of people who copy celebrities to do just that and to strive to model their own appearance on such a travesty of health.

Agree with a pp that Ariana Grande also looks dreadful. She tries to make believe that her appearance is due to “healthy eating” when it is the very opposite.
How many young girls are making themselves ill trying to look like her?

As for the perils of being overweight, well there isn’t and never will be a big problem with vulnerable people copying fat celebrities by deliberately gaining weight because a) there are very few and b) there is so much prejudice against fat in society that this will always outweigh (no pun intended!) any desire to change appearance to being fatter.

I agree. This is absolutely not body shaming.

I have a dd with an ED, and this stuff should be discussed in a caring and sensitive way. I didn’t know that Ariana Grande had said it’s down to ‘healthy eating’.

It is so concerning seeing these women harming themselves. Especially the younger women, because of how much damage they can do, and how it could affect their long term health.

CakeMeHomeIveSeenEnough · 02/03/2026 03:41

Gosh, that is shocking. Hadn't seen photos of either of them in a while and wasn't prepared for such dramatic changes. Kelly in particular would have been unrecognisable to me if I'd just seen a photo with no further information.

DreamTheMoors · 02/03/2026 03:21

I saw Kelly very recently on a video clapping back at people for body shaming her.
She looked nothing like that video.

I think it must be AI.

I never thought I’d be defending an Osborne, but here I am.

Booboobagins · 02/03/2026 03:03

Completely agree, they look horrendous.

PollyBell · 02/03/2026 02:57

And they say the best role models are meant to parents, sadly that is not always the case

marcyhermit · 01/03/2026 21:19

I think it's more ozempic and probably grief leading to extreme weight loss rather than cosmetic surgery.

I think it’s those things and surgery. Their faces have bit ended up looking like that due to weight loss alone.

fableless · 01/03/2026 23:44

I think it’s really sad, my heart breaks for both of them. They do not look well at all.

BillieWiper · 01/03/2026 23:42

They look no worse than the men who are going mad for facelifts etc lately.
