I was thinking of this thread as I walked the dog, and speculating that lots of the spring-dislikers might be urban dwellers, apprehensive about warm weather in small houses, not being able to open windows without letting in noise and fumes. And not having much private outdoor space, relying on overused public spaces that might be stressful, npoisy, etc.
But, reading the thread, that doesn't actually seem to be the main focus at all. One thing I'm seeing, that I can empathise with, is that spring and summer for many of you are times when you feel more pressure to go out and "do" stuff, enjoy the weather, etc. I guess that it particularly a problem when you have young or youngish children.
I'm the other way round, though. I find Christmas (and the exhaustingly long build up to Christmas) the time of greatest pressure to do certain things, create certain experiences with the children. Warmer weather seems to be less infected with social expectations than the winter. I feel less in society, more in nature.
I'm very lucky, though. I live in a rural area where it is really possible to respond to the change of season. For me it seems almost a biological thing, hardwired by evolution, to unfold into the outside as the spring arrives.
