So what do we think will happen to Andrew, could he actually go to prison?

I just don’t believe it could happen. Also I’d like him to go to prison for the sex offences, that seems more important than his sharing confidential information problem.

I think people need to spend less time focusing on Andrew (not least because discussing this at this point could prejudice any trial if there is one), and more time asking why Andrew is being singled out here. What is it that people are using him to cover up?

There are three million pages in the Epstein files. And all the emphasis seems to be on Andrew. Why?

I don’t think there’s any doubt that Andrew is a sleaze. but IMO Andrew is by no means the main character here. And yet he seems to be being portrayed as such.

Who is this covering up and why?

And why are people on here lapping it all up in the way they are?

It'll probably be as harsh as being moved into a slightly smaller home. Either that or we'll be told he's had the book thrown at him so that we shut up about the whole Epstein thing and tell ourselves everything's fine, justice is served, nothing to see.

He does seem to be moved to a slightly smaller home as the only outcome each time.

No. Seriously, I'd like you to tell me what sex offences he has committed.

Being a sleazy middle aged git isn't a criminal activity.

😅😅😅 are you a man? Go away

Idk but just listening to the radio talk about if the alleged offence goes to court it’ll be the Crown v AMW which was something.

I hope it’s all looked in to for Mandelson too.

What evidence is there of the 'sex stuff'? If we're locking people up for using prostitutes, then let's treat everyone the same. As for the trafficking, this devalues genuine sex trafficking. Remember the Russian woman negotiating her substantial fee? How many of the women trafficked to this country in small boats get the luxury of doing that or being paid £250k

For the avoidance of doubt, I know people who served alongside him, and he's not a very nice person. Again, if that's a crime, then we need more prisons.

Why should Andrew be last rather than first in being charged for buying sex from trafficked women? Start with him and yes, treating them all the same and prosecuting as many people who buy sex from trafficked women as resources allow sounds great.

storageconcern · 19/02/2026 16:04

I don’t think anything will happen. He will be released and home in time for bed tonight. Then there will be no further questions to answer or some other comment from the police.

Re going to prison, if it did happen, he could go to the prison inside the prison at Belmarsh. He’d be in solitary confinement there and away for everyone.

Muffinmam · 19/02/2026 16:03

I hope so.

He has gotten away with so much. I’m absolutely sickened that he got away with his depraved lifestyle and all of the lives he destroyed.

He is evil. Fergie is evil. The Royal family is evil. The Queen paid blood money to Virginia Robert’s Guiffre so that her son’s sexual offending against a minor wouldn’t cloud her jubilee!

The British Royal family is a human stain.

Poor old King Charles

They cut his head off. Not very good company.

climbintheback · 19/02/2026 16:02

Maybe the 12 year olds will get 15 million!

climbintheback · 19/02/2026 16:01

15 million

HelpMeGetThrough · 19/02/2026 15:59

He’ll be bailed today “pending further enquiries”, be home in time for a cup of tea and some birthday cake.

It will then go very quiet and that’ll be it.

BeRoseViewer · 19/02/2026 15:59

it's rarely prosecuted and when it is, it's usually applied to prison officers and Police where there are identified harms to individuals or institutions.

Whether it results in prison or not..

Potential trials are lengthy and extremely costly.

And in all offences, whether it is in the public interest to prosecute or not is taken into account.

And 'public interest' doesn't mean would the public like this person to be in prison?

I agree. If you read VG's book you will see exactly how she ended up valuing herself so little she was being trafficked around. Having worked with many people in the sex 'industry' many are survivors of CSA. If you were not already damaged (or drugged up) it is very hard to either start or stay in that line of work.

Personally, I think it's performative theatre by the RF & AMW will not, in fact, be prosecuted.

The monarchy has survived by being ruthless. They have, finally, been ruthless with Andrew, making him an ordinary citizen so he can be prosecuted. The mood of the public is such that Andrew getting off scot free would be another nail in its coffin. The evidence against him is clear in the emails. He sent market-sensitive information that he only had because of his trade envoy position to Epstein. A lot more delving will be needed for a prosecution but the bones are there.

Dollymylove · 19/02/2026 15:57

Have any underage girls come forward to say that Andrew had sex with them? He may be an utterly sleazeball but where is the evidence of underage girls?

Easytoconfuse · 19/02/2026 15:57

tobee · 19/02/2026 15:33

If think both are as important as each other; the sex stuff that he hasn’t been arrested for and the misbehaviour in public office.

I wish this morning’s events meant that this is the beginning of other people being arrested but, apart from maybe Mandelson, I think it’s unlikely sadly.

Sex abuse stuff is always very difficult to prove. Depressing.

Nothing will happen to him, I think he will be released without charge and that the whole thing is theatre to show the country that "something is being done" and "nobody is above the law". Then it will be business as usual for the royals as throughout recent history they always find a way to crisis manage anything that has the potential to derail the gravy train. I was pleased when I heard that the Andrew forever known as Nonce has been arrested but I really think that will be as far as it will go. He will be released without charge and then clear off to the UAE. Would love to be proved wrong

I'd rather like him to get a fair trial, and for Peter Mandelson to be treated in exactly the same way. An awful lot of credence seems to be being given to the 'victims' who were 'trafficked' when Virginia Guiffre could just ring him from Thailand and say I'm not coming back and nothing happened to her. She recruited other girls for him, so why isn't she being condemned?

52andblue · 19/02/2026 15:51

PandoraSocks · 19/02/2026 15:14

It's not a competition. Abuse is abuse and all of it is abhorrent.

Who was the last one?

Charles I, whose punishment was rather more final than house arrest.

And the Epstein stuff happened in the US so I don't think they can get him for that here. There has been talk about women coming into the country with him on private planes but I don't know if it can be proven to be trafficking. He could get a long sentence for misconduct in a public office.

Benchdogs · 19/02/2026 15:48

They’re just trying to get the public to quiet down. Its meaningless and of course he won’t face justice for anything.

Bourdic · 19/02/2026 15:47

He won’t go to prison on the misconduct in public office alleged offences because if won’t come to trial. A team of very clever barristers will make sure there is no trial.

King Charles I in 1647. He was beheaded. Look up the English Civil War.

Wonder if KC3 has ever pondered recently that he may have been better choosing one of his other names for regnal purposes! 😆
