So what do we think will happen to Andrew, could he actually go to prison?

I just don’t believe it could happen. Also I’d like him to go to prison for the sex offences, that seems more important than his sharing confidential information problem.

Perhaps we’re all about to find out.

Not to mention we already know about what Virginia Giuffre told us and the confirmation that that notorious photo is real.
And that £££ payout to Virginia by The Queen and former Prince Charles on behalf of Andrew.

And that other photo of Andrew on his hands and knees leaning over that girl on the floor.

And Andrew having a quite intimate friendship with the world’s most infamous pedophile for decades and then lying about ending it.

If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck…

You’re obviously intelligent. Don’t be obtuse.

You haven't a clue how actual trials are conducted have you

Good grief

No. Seriously, I'd like you to tell me what sex offences he has committed.

Being a sleazy middle aged git isn't a criminal activity.

Sex trafficking, for starters.

FWIW I don’t think they would have arrested him if they didn't have extremely good evidence and hadn’t already decided that the would charge him if appropriate. The police will have a lot of questions to answer if they don’t charge.

That's incorrect. They just had a legal expert on Sky News explain that the reason the police had to arrest him, rather than ask him to come in voluntarily for interview, is that under the Criminal Justice Act, arresting someone gives the police additional power to seize documents. So they needed to arrest him to be able to raid his house to see what evidence they could gather. It's therefore not a given they have the evidence they need and it could be months before the CPS gives the nod to charge him.

In other words, it's far from a done deal.

True. Do you, thiagojones?

It is an area of the law I have previously worked in, yes.

Then you know absolutely nothing of trafficking and coercion.

I think he will either top himself or someone will be scared of him talking and have away with him.

He will absolutely not top himself

Hopefully he can share a cell with Mandelson in due course,

My eyesight is bad and I thought that said Madonna.

I thought, 'whats she bloody done'!!!

He’s actually been arrested for misconduct in public office.

The former prince is alleged to have shared confidential documents with Epstein in 2010, who by that time was a convicted sex offender.

The email dates back to Andrew's time working as a trade envoy on behalf of the UK government.

My hope when they investigate this, it also uncovers his involvement in Epstein & trafficking etc.

I know what he's been arrested for, whats that got to do with my post?

Thedevilhasfinallycaughtupwithhim · 19/02/2026 20:05

I think he’ll go the way of Epstein.

Apologies I meant the Witch Hunt is on here, not by the Police.

I'll be more than happy to judge him on actual evidence

If my son was known to socialise with convicted sex offenders, in a location known to be the location of many sex offences, and he was accused of sexual offences in these circumstances, id hope there was a very thorough investigation into his behaviour.

Precisely.

There are very few things I won’t protect my son from. But the consequences of his own actions isn’t one of them.

Well I'm sure you would be bitterly disappointed, but you'd be even more distraught if your son were accused of being a rapist and paedophile on the basis of this evidence!

There are a number of men who have killed themselves when their accuser has later admitted to having lied.

You would certainly not be happy if your son was a victim of this!

That's what I was getting at

Because no actual crime has been committed!!!!!

It's a witch hunt.

AMW has always been an arrogant twat. Spoilt by the late Queen.

But I respect the rule of Law not mob rule, and this is turning into Mob rule, no different from the Gammon screaming in the faces of immigrants.

No different at all.

You cannot categorically say no crime has been committed. You can, however, say that AMW has not yet been convicted of a crime.

Yet.

And it's absolutely not a witch hunt for police to investigate the very serious offence of misconduct in public office. It carries a sentence of up to life imprisonment.

Frankly, this is the least of AMW's worries. Just wait til Essex police finish combing the flight manifests for all the times Epstein flew into Stansted to see him – if it's proved there were girls on the plane, then he will finally be arrested on sex trafficking charges too.

You asked how we would feel if it was our son. I, and that poster, are just saying how we’d feel if it was our son.
If my son chose to stay with a convicted sex offender for 3 days, I’d be extremely disappointed, ashamed and disgusted.

Who was the last one?

Duke of Clarence, brother of Edward IV in 1478. He wasn't a particularly nice character either.

well,, by looking at the smile on her face and and in her eyes, it looks as if she was.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 19/02/2026 19:56

I doubt it. His family have been covering his sweaty arse for decades. It is impossible that others in the palace were unaware of Andrew and his crew’s antics.

If your son was over 18 he'd have no reason to seek your permission.

Nor do I have any need whatsoever to "find a way to defend that".

You are barking up the wrong tree entirely.

I'm not seeking to defend AMW. Just the Rule of Law.

There's a massive difference. I'm sorry you can't see it.

@BMW6

I don’t know what you’re missing here or how.

You mentioned sons. If my son told me he was going to stay at the residence of a convicted sex offender, where there would be young women present… with said convicted abuser - I would tell him he fucking wasn’t, and if I didn’t know and found out later he had, I’d be very disappointed in his decision making.

You don’t choose to spend time in the company or property of known sex offenders and expect that to not carry suspicion.

I got that from him admitting it…

Andrew admitted to staying in Epstein's mansion for three days in 2010, after Epstein's conviction for sex offences against a minor, describing the location as "a convenient place to stay".

Convenient. Place. To. Stay.

You’re welcome to find a way to defend that.

The presumption of innocence doesn’t mean we literally presume someone is innocent, it means the burden of proof is with the prosecution.

Quite so. Thank God.
