Fingers crossed that Andrew finally gets his wish and ends up living in a huge house owned by his brother

Netcurtainnelly · 19/02/2026 11:23

Bet he's glad his mums not around today .

I want to be the one interviewing him. I would say the word Mr very loudly when addressing him.

Ooooo, interesting. I think I want to be every fucking person in the entire police station the more I think about it. Even another inmate would do me. It’s the drama, Mick.

I don't think they care that much about public opinion to go to this extent just for the sake of a show. it won't 'sate' anyone anyway, cos the obvious question is, who else?

I think they do. The police are coming in for a lot of well-deserved criticism for hushing things up for so long and pretending there was nothing about Andrew to investigate. Lots of arse covering ahead, I imagine.

We don't know if there was any payment.

@KatyaKanani didn't you post the above?

“A statement from the Treasury, in response to a Freedom of Information request, ruled out any public funding: "No public money has been used to pay legal or settlement ”

What are the Treasury referring to here?

😆😆

No, I don't know anything about the Treasury.
I was just wondering about how much the payment was and it's origins, but that seems to be upsetting people.
If VG was paid, I hope it gave her some comfort.

Looking forward to Twenty Four Hours In Police Custody.

I'd pay good money to watch that episode!

Topseyt123 · 19/02/2026 11:20

Good. It's been a long time coming and he deserves everything he gets.

It was a bad move by Queenie imo and something that will taint her memory.

Hmmm, I am sure she consulted top notch lawyers and was given legal advice and that´s what she was advised to do. Not due to what had come out, but because of what had yet to come out. I am reading Entitled, it is shocking, and the worst stuff wasn´t included because the author and his editors were afraid of being sued!

You said "we don't know there was any payment"

Court records show there was. I have no idea why you are so hung up on this. It can't just be for the sake of accuracy because we really have moved on from that chapter of Andrew.

I am not "hung up". I have no idea why you're so personal. Shrugs.
I just like facts and not conjecture.
Tis all.

Ha. It’s rare I take pleasure in the downfall of others. I fear he’ll be released without charge and that this is all a tickbox exercise to keep us plebs quiet.
I do think this will open the floodgates further though. I’d fucking love to be his booking Sargent.

No need to be so rude.
It doesn't say "£12m" and it doesn't say "from QEII" which was the nature of my query.
Perhaps read what people actually post.

Is it true the police have hired Emily Maitlis to interview him?😂

ginasevern · 19/02/2026 11:14

The following was reported by the BBC on 8 March 2022, along with other respected news agencies:

“The Duke of York is paying a financial settlement to his accuser Virginia Giuffre - formally ending a civil case brought against him in the US, according to court documents. A judge in New York signed the court papers on Tuesday, marking the final stage of settling the sex assault case. The latest "stipulation of dismissal" court papers showed the case being concluded, following the agreement reached between Prince Andrew and Ms Giuffre in February, which stopped the prospect of a courtroom battle in New York. The signing of the papers by US district court judge Lewis Kaplan marks the end of this high-profile legal claim.”

So the BBC as well as District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan and State/Court records are all lying then are they? I mean, were you under a rock when all this happened.

No need to be so rude.

I hope that he lives out the rest of his life in a prison cell.

That will not happen!

LakieLady · 19/02/2026 11:11

Or had to shit in a bog in the corner of the room he's sleeping in?

And how will he sleep without all the teddies?

I forgot about the teddies, they’re probably being stuffed in evidence bags. To be fair if all police stations have the same ready meals I can reassure Andrew that the veggie breakfast one is banging.

treeowl · 19/02/2026 11:15

@ginasevern if seems @KatyaKanani wants to ignore that! 😆

febstoptherainplease · 19/02/2026 11:15

About bloody time!

Also has there been a word from BP? Any statement yet...
