90 year old male watching naked women on tv

My cousin told me that her 90yo dad watches 'Babestation' (ugh, makes me feel queasy just typing that word).
He asked her to fix his phone at the weekend and she saw he had 572 you tube videos on it, some thumbnail stills showing close ups of young women's crotches (clothed).
She was upset and said she couldn't believe that a man of his age was looking at stuff like that. She also told me (which I didn't know before) that in the 60s/70s he used to go to the pub on work lunch times and Sunday afternoons to watch strippers.
I said I agree that it's gross, but try not to judge him, but she wasn't happy with me about that and she left. She hasn't returned my text messages since then.
I am going to give her a few days to process what's happened, then try to contact her again.
But AIBU to also be grossed out by the thought of my aged uncle perving over young women?

I wonder whats in their head? The list of DiY jobs?

I think not.

Nothing wrong with using their imaginations!

It’s called masturbation. Men have been able to masturbate for very very many years before being able to access photographic images of real women’s bodies. Around 300,000 less a couple of hundred, in fact.

No, I'm early thirties with a dh also in his early thirties. When I was 18 my boyfriend was 18, and so on. If a 90 year old had a 20 year old girlfriend, people would think it was gross.

You really wont be 'fancying' 90 year old men, even if your partner is still alive, you'll love him yes, as he will you but we are programmed to find young people attractive and by young I mean people who are fertile and active. Generally 20s to 40s.

Ask yourself how many elderly pinups there are, either now or ever have been?

Hollywood stars with the phwoar factor are not found into their 60s and 70s. Unless its someone like Helen Mirren or the likes of Sean Connery, they are few and far between.

Allow me to identify myself as one with no imagination.

Enlighten me: what is self pleasure that doesn't involve objectification?

Im guessing you havent heard of the Chippendales then 🤣🤣

Of course, women can perve over men too. But they don't (in my experience anyway) drool or cat call after school boys or wank on the tube/bus or in the cinema. They're the least likely to watch extreme and violent pornography or bestiality too. And they rarely ditch their DH just because they've found someone half his age. They're also far less likely to get hooked on porn and then claim to be sex addicts or to try and grope the male office junior in the lift at every opportunity.

I also think this is about ageism,

Nice 😉 I see what you did there.

SunsetValley · 17/02/2026 16:13

Let me guess, nobody here’s DH has ever even thought about another woman sexually whilst with them, never mind viewing photos or videos online

YES, it’s gross to find out about your dad watching Babe station because he is your DAD. It’s not creepy to have some semblance of a sex drive or find women attractive.

StripyShirt · 17/02/2026 16:13

I'd be pleased that he's still got some life in him if he was my relative.

You would be quite odd if you werent in preference to 90 year old men. Do you tend to fancy 90 year old men now?

You wont then either

He is an adult male, his age makes no difference, who are to judge him, if thats what he likes to do. It's not gross, it's not weird, it's not wrong. Anyone who says otherwise needs a slap and to mind their own business.

Women criticising 'an adult male' need a slap, do they? Blimey. You lot usually make a bit of effort to pass as mainstream.

beAsensible1 · 17/02/2026 16:09

i mean its gross in general not sure what being 90 has to do with it. I assume he still feels arousal, why wouldn't he.

likelysuspect · 17/02/2026 16:09

PamelaJean · 17/02/2026 16:02

Ok. Still don't think I'll be attracted to men multiple decades younger than me when I'm 90 though.

Self-pleasure that doesn’t involve objectification is perfectly possible. Do you have no imagination?

5128gap · 17/02/2026 16:06

You're both wrong. She's wrong in saying 'a man of his age' because the role of pervy creep doesn't age discriminate.
You're wrong in telling her not to judge him. She has every right to judge him 6 ways to Sunday. Because it sounds like she's had half a century of knowing her father is a creep who objectified women, and naively hoped he'd aged out of it by now and was shocked and upset. To have a friend scold her for judging rather than empathise was probably the last thing she needed.

I think it's odd a 90 year old man looking at Babestation at cleavage when he could watch Bridgerton, GOT ot the like and see full tits, fannies and cocks - including erect ones getting sucked off.

And see fucking of every possible description on Netflix Sky, Prime etc.

But he's the pervert?

He just didn't know he could get far more explicit and sexual content on mainstream channels where you all tell yourselves it's part of the plot.

Perverts.

As long as he’s jut watching on TV, who is he hurting?🤷‍♀️

@TheSloughBeadle "It seems men can evolve to learn and speak multiple languages, learn science to a level when they can operate on a human brain etc but apparently can't go more than two whole seconds without thinking of their dicks."

I don't think that's far from the truth to be honest. There's plenty of evidence to back it up.

As for:

"for the apologists, stop saying it's a biological hangover of caveman behaviour. If that were even remotely true men would still kill each other on sight and be eating their own shit or whatever. Just utter apologist bullshit."

I don't think they have evolved too far from any of that. They're still by a huge margin the main perpetrators of murder, rape, assault and torture (often just for fun) worldwide.

I'm not a male apologist by anyone's standards, but I am a realist. I'm also quite old and experience informs me that men aren't going to change any time soon. In fact I think women will far surpass them sooner.

Im guessing you havent heard of the Chippendales then 🤣🤣

People who grew up with smartphones/the internet (those of us who are "older millennials" didn't have these things until we were near adults) apparently are far more likely to watch a lot of porn, men and women. I don't like it, and might get called old-fashioned/prude as I prefer the idea of doing stuff with a real partner you love and respect, not gazing at either men or women as objects. But then, those older than me were more likely to go to strip shows, and I suppose it's no worse for any adult, regardless of age.

We're not even choosing to access porn.

What used to be considered porn is entirely mainstream now in popular TV programmes.

But posters are falling over themselves to say a 90 year old is a pervert watching adult consenting women with cleavage.

ginasevern · 17/02/2026 13:17

@cinnamontroll "creepy young men just grow into creepy old men I think."

But they aren't creeps or perverts. They're just men. All hetero men like looking at tits and bums and generally when they're attached to younger women. They have done since time began. Women don't half kid themselves about this.

This!

Usernamedulychanged · 17/02/2026 15:53

why would anyone care?! I feel like I must be out of sync with Mumsnet because I don’t see this as especially pervy / gross / abnormal. My only objections to porn are on aesthetic grounds because it’s generally tacky and doesn’t (to me) seem that erotic. But that’s a taste thing. I also don’t enjoy opera. As long as the women involved are over age, doing whatever they are doing consensually and aren’t being enslaved or trafficked what on earth is the issue?

I don't know the average age of a woman on babestation but I'm guessing twenties and thirties, some might only be 18. I do think it's odd for a 90 year old to be looking at that. I'm 30 something and would see an 18 year old man as a child now, certainly wouldn't sleep with one.

I grewup in the 60’s and 70’s.

There was a stripper on every Sunday dinner time at the club over the hill.

There are a lot of myths people tell themselves to make it OK to use women for sex.

Oh get over yourself.

If the 90 year old was using Babestation for sexual gratification then it's literally all that I said.

A legal channel with clothed girls jiggling their cleavage and promising they'll see more if they pay.

Which virtually everyone knows isn't necessary as you can get porn for free online every day of the week.

But you think he's some kind of 90 year old pervert?

When Bridgerton and GOT and its ilk are showing what would have been soft porn years ago?

When women of all ages are getting the fanny gallops over full-,frontal cocks and commenting on it all over SM.

Have a word with yourself or at least grow up and get with the times.
