To hate most men?

I'm not speaking about the whole male population, of course, but they're so pig ignorant. Sexist, bullish with disgusting habits. I'm currently sat in a cafe and a man, looks to be in his 60's is doing that deep throaty sniff in and sneezed so loud, I almost choked on my fish. Then there are the men who spit in public. Earlier I endured a man constantly sniffing on the train for half an hour. Women are like this too, but men are far worse. Enduring these men is a daily occurrence.

If something is doubtful then it's not a fact.

For the hard of thinking.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 12/02/2026 15:04

It’s hilarious (in a depressing way) that any thread that talks about men being the shittier sex class (and they are by a country mile, statistically so), along with the inevitable NAMALT, the women do it too brigade always, ALWAYS mention Myra Hindley and Rose West. Always! Why is that? Because they are rare. They stand out. And have male co-accused. Would MH have carried out the horrific
crimes if it weren’t for Ian Brady? Doubtful. This is not excusing them, this is fact.

I could mention a hundred male murderers of women and you’d be like ‘who?!’. How many would have female co-accused calling the shots? Maybe some, but it’s not on the same level as men.

This doesn’t equate to women won’t and can’t cause serious harm. For the hard of thinking.

Maybe.

And you're still here. Talking to us.

You're not a hostage, babe. You can leave at any time.

You're crying aren't you.

Why do you give her her full name but refer to him as 'Fred'. Was he your friend? It sounds like you feel sorry for him.

The fuck? Why are you asking if she's crying?

Sunshineandblueskysalltheway · 12/02/2026 14:54

Gahr · 12/02/2026 14:05

No, it isn't. Because you were framing her as a victim, or at least as being led astray by Fred.

Fuck me - making excuses for the likes of Rose West and Myra Hindley is beyond the pail. And yes that is what you are doing. Absolutely shocking.

It is shocking. These people would do ANYTHING rather than admit a woman could be violent on her own accord.

It's incredibly depressing and boring. I wish to God that they would keep it all in one place, as well. Like the 'Feminism' section.

You don’t have to read threads that, from the title,
it‘s clear what it’s about. Posting isn’t compulsory. It’s not difficult to scroll on.

And my disclaimer is that I know men have a right to public spaces but the amount of men just in the street in groups, aimlessly doing nothing but standing there. I really hate it and I hate the way they watch young women as they walk past. I don't see groups of women doing this.

FlyingApple · 12/02/2026 14:37

I agree with you totally, I adore my sons, DH etc but I am really fed up with a lot of men. Something is going very, very wrong with them.

Wiseplumant · 12/02/2026 14:34

YANBU ( though some women are pretty annoying too) I don't really like anybody.

I’m with you.
I know two decent men. That is all.
The rest are all shit.

Crikey what a coincidence that you know the only two decent men in existence.

I'm not sure what you're saying "really?" in response to. Did I read a piece? Yes I did. https://substack.com/home/post/p-184726120

Do I think this site is becoming a depressing and miserable place to spend time? Yes I do. This thread is just one of many in which disgusting hateful bile is spread.

Really?
There's a trans male performer in Scandinavia who used to say that he never realised how badly men treat women, until he became one... and this is Scandinavia where men treat women far, far better than in England or USA.

I actually read a very interesting piece recently in which a woman described how she lived for year with intense misandry. She said it was remarkable that she could say truly horrific stuff about men and no one would ever challenge her. It was only when she started therapy and went on medication for (I think) anxiety that she began to realise it.

I think many women here say things about men which they would never tolerate about any other group of people. They certainly object to even the slightest criticism of women. But at least once a week there is a thread exactly like this one encouraging people to post hate.

Honestly this site is becoming a very miserable and depressing place to spend time.

Gahr · 12/02/2026 12:45

Could you be a little more condescending, please? I don't think that you really got the message through.
Also, explain Rose West. Myra Handley, Ghilasne Maxwell, and the countless women who offered their babies up to Ian Watkins. It's not only not all men. It is also not just men.

Internalised misogyny does explain those women. They were all led by wanting to appease men, to throw other women and girls to the wolves to stock up a little power for themselves.

BooseysMom · 12/02/2026 13:51

The world you live in where men hold other men accountable is a complete fantasy. Very few if any are doing that.

This has reminded me of an occasion back in the late 80s/early 90s when there was a 'working mens club' in our town. Acceptable places back then. A bloke at the bar was drunkenly running women down saying "they're not welcome here are they lads, unless they're offering something more than to do your cooking and cleaning?" ...And one guy stood out, an old friend of mine. He turned round to that twat and told him "either shut up with your disgusting comments or get the fuck out of this club!" The bloke's jaw dropped to the floor and he shut the fuck up prompto!

I've never forgotten that. And that's what we need...more decent men like him who aren't afraid of calling out the mysoginists.

Sunshineandblueskysalltheway · 12/02/2026 13:47

Gahr · 12/02/2026 12:57

Because the case hasn't been built? We still don't know precisely who was involved and to what extent. I'm not saying it's acceptable, and it's why the files have to be released, but this 'why is Maxwell in prison' nonsense frames her as a victim.

No one is asking why she is in prison but people are asking why it is only her.

She deserves to be there for the crimes she has committed but she is there, not simply because she is a woman, but because she is not a powerful man.

Gahr · 12/02/2026 13:36

Thedevilhasfinallycaughtupwithhim · 12/02/2026 13:16

So why have zero men been handed prison sentences, when the crimes were overwhelmingly committed by men?

I mean, she was his procurer! And he was in prison as well. I of course agree that all the people concerned need to be brought to account, but Ghilasne being in prison isn't because she is a woman.

Thestarsmayalign · 12/02/2026 13:14

Me too.
When I had my dc - I got a son first . I felt odd as Ive had v bad experiences at the hands of men.
I made it my aim to educate him about how to be a man - he is emotionally sensitive, intelligent, he is often told by strangers how lovely he is ( probably in part as the yard stick for some men/ expectations is so low?and he stands out )
I taught him to consider others from a young age , how to relate, how to behave in public having consideration for others.
I feel as a female it was my job to ‘ grow’ a decent man . He saw me modelling what I expected of his father and how he treated me .
I did not treat him like a ‘ mummys boy’ - he could cook good food as a teen etc.
I feel pro active parenting of males , is important.
he will not collude with misogyny- he is principled- and that has got him into trouble when as a male he had stood up to other males when they have been awful to women- this has been a worry. But its his moral compass.

Verv · 12/02/2026 13:08

Some men are okay, but as a demographic im wildly unimpressed by them.
