To be bemused by Radio 2 today?

Romesh Ranganathan show with Sally Traffic messing around and just talking all the time and not playing music? I don't want to listen to them chattering away as if there's no audience.

Really can't stand any interaction Richie has with anyone. To.me his laugh is false and he sounds false. I feel disloyal as I am a proud Brummie. Liza Tarbuck I love now I'm in my 50s. When I was younger I thought she was rubbish. Vernon sounds like he lays on thick 'ey up' northern routine for me. Jo Wiley annoys me. I like Trevor Nelson and Sara Cox I tend to listen to Romesh. Trevor and Liza on catch up. Can't stand Paddy. Dermot- meh. Been flitting between a 60s radio station and radio 2

Listen to a different station or put spotify on it.Sounds like these people are not for you, but that doesn't mean they are not good to other people. This is really a non complaint. Because all of the options are in your hands.

I find at least 80% of all radio presenters on any stations irritating tbh. Elaine Paige has to be one of the worst. I've never listened to Romesh Ranganathan, but he's certainly been quite annoying when I've seen him on tv. I can stand Absolute Radio for a bit sometimes, but I mostly listen to Radio 3 or 4 these days and otherwise put Spotify on.

What other ways are there of getting traffic news when you are driving unless you are using Google maps?

No, she's also annoying. To me anyway but the music she plays is so different it's really worth listening to. I also like the lack of audience participation.

Sally Traffic has gone off the boil recently. The other week it was ramblings of a mad women. I think the traffic presenters are trying to follow Ritchie Anderson and failing. Stick to the day job and knowing what the proper name of junction 12 of the M6 is or whatever

I really like Sally Traffic and Romesh’s chat. I find it very funny because he obviously finds her hilarious. I love it that she’s still on Radio 2 because I think back to her time with Johnny Walker.
honestly can’t stand Vernon Kay. I was listening the other day and he sounded like he was in a really bad mood. He was really unpleasant. I can’t remember in all the years listening to radio ever thinking that the presenter is in a bad mood. I don’t listen to Jeremy Vine for obvious reasons. I really like Trevor Nelson. He’s been such a great addition to the daytime. Not massively keen on Sara Cox. Like Vernon she can sometimes be a bit tetchy. Love Jo.

Running joke in our house that Sally must know where all the bodies are buried as she has been increasing her part over the years!
Im sure she’s a lovely woman - I just dont enjoy hearing her waffling on

I like listening to the presenters on Radio 2 too, it makes me laugh. It's a good mix of chat and music. I prefer radio to Spotify or other streaming music.

It can be serendipitous to hear a song you haven’t heard for a long time. Also there is still something about shared experience - everyone listening to the same thing at the same time. Or if you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for. I’m almost always driving when I have the radio on and it’s often quicker to just press radio than faff on with iTunes.

I can’t listen to RR though. He is dreadful; as is Vernon Kay. I liked Ken Bruce. I don’t mind Sarah Cox.

I love listening to the presenters chatting. I find it funny and interesting. If I wanted to listen to music I'd just use Spotify.

I loved the rapport between Sally traffic and Johnnie Walker when he used to do the drivetime show.

I tend not to have the radio on at the weekend but I was listening to it I'm the car today and had a few laugh out loud moments this morning, especially when they were talking about made up rapper names and band names.

I find making a traffic person a co-presenter annoying, this is what is happening, they're taking over! Richie Anderson was fine and was a DJ before doing that role and is fine on his own show but the others who are overexposed are puzzling. @Bougainsillier I like it on Sunday after Elaine Paige has finished.

Why can't they just play music? Or mostly music? No-one cares about what the presenters have to say.
