I live with a DC so not totally alone, but certainly alone more than not during the week as they are in bed by 7. I can't see myself ever thinking "I wish someone else was here all the time"

I actually think my ex and I might have stayed together if we'd kept separate homes!

I've lived alone for more than half my adult life and couldn't imagine living with anyone again. It really suits me but it's not for everyone. Are you finding it difficult?

I lived alone for several years in my 20s and I mostly didn't struggle. I occasionally got a bit freaked out but I had a good social life so never got lonely.

It was better than where I was before but no, I found it lonely and too much time to think.

I’ve been living alone for 5 years and I love it! I can’t imagine ever living with another human again. It’s bliss

I loved it. I moved in with my partner when I was diagnosed with cancer but I definitely miss my old life.
