He's asleep on the sofa and snoring so loudly that I can't hear the tv

AIBU to murder the twat?

He announced earlier in the day how tired he was. He knows that he snores like a warthog. As my title says, he has fallen asleep on the sofa and the noise is hideous. We don't have another TV in the house so I'm having to resort to subtitles while I seethe. I'm tempted to accidentally throw a cushion on his face and accidentally sit on it until the breathing snoring stops. AIBU?

My Dad did this throughout my childhood. DH is not allowed to nap in the living room.. If he does, the moment he starts to snore he's told to fuck off to bed.

I'm not having it - it's a tiny house, I'm not tip toeing around a man who has a perfectly comfortable bed he can sleep in without bothering me.

I always always nap in bed. I've nodded off once on the sofa in a decade when I was recovering from surgery and the general anaesthetic!

Why is he so tired this early?!

Turn it off. That'll wake him up.

It didn't wake him up when I turned it on or turned it off!

Wouldn't loud tv really not wake him up? So he moves by himself?

It would be quicker to wake him up and send him to bed than having to dig to burry the body under the patio

woman up!

Ha! This is very true.

I'm way past that stage of caring about him! 🤣

It’s not for him though, it’s for you

Wake him and send him to bed

pinksheetss · 24/01/2026 17:45

I’d just wake up him and ask him to move or to wake up. Don’t think it’s as big of an issue to be that annoyed over or like he’s really done it on purpose to annoy you.

I wake mine up, wait for his angry wtf to subside and tell him to fuck off to bed. Its my house too and I'm not being held to ransom by a grown man making thr main room uninhabitable

I am not sure it would be worth the come back for doing that. Hence the cushion idea!

Can’t you wake him up and tell him to go and rest properly on the bed? I have to do that to my DH occasionally.
